Goodness Greens

One Friday evening, when my partner asked me what I wanted for dinner, I decide to give him chance (to eat rice and dishes) and I suggested Yik Kee@TTDI

When we got there, alamak! The restaurant was closed. So that's how we ended up at Goodness Greens Cafe which is just a few doors away.

And goodness me, the moment I saw the menu, I immediately knew this the the sort of food that I like.

See that? They even have a Keto Bowl for people who want to low carb. After checking out the various options, my partner and I decided on the Fried Rice Quinoa with Teriyaki Chicken Thigh for him and Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Thigh and House-made Sambal for me.

For drinks, my partner decided he needed a detox and chose the Chlorophyll Water. Not the most exciting of drinks.

I was not about to detox of a Friday night and I had the Acai Berry Smoothie.

Very nice! What I like is that there is no added sugar to the  smoothie.

This is my partner's Fried Rice Quinoa with Teriyaki Chicken Thigh.

I knew he would pass his share of the chilies to me.

Quite a sumptuous serving.

This is mine with Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Thigh and the House-Made Sambal.

As expected, I had more than my fair share of chilies.

I must say that the sambal was surprisingly good and the fried quinoa had a nice wok hei going on. I enjoyed my meal to the max. I want to come back next Friday!

  2. Very healthy drink. Once a while, detox with juice is good for us.

Your chicken thigh looked delicious to me. I would love the lemongrass fragrant in the meat.

  4. Sure looks good for a place serving healthy meals - most look so bland and boring.

  6. Do you like the taste of quinoa? I can't say I'm a fan after trying it once.

    1. Plain quinoa by itself, no I don't like the taste and smell. If it is tossed in dressing (like at Salad Atelier where I fist tasted it) or well fried like fried rice, then I find it tasty.
