I was very hungry and decided to go back to Pin Qian Klang Bak Kut Teh. I had to taste the Klang BKT again to decide if I actually liked it or not. On my earlier visit, I thought that the broth was too strong for my liking.
This time I chose the Loin Ribs/Small Loin Ribs BKT and since I was very hungry, I added a side dish - the Dry Beancurd with Soup.
It looked like a grand lunch for my ravenous tummy.
This time, my BKT was meaty and fatty.
And somehow, the broth was more acceptable. Perhaps after the first taste, I somehow grew accustomed to it. Or maybe it was because I was very hungry and anything would taste good.
I did not like the soup that came with the beancurd. It had a very strong herbal taste and smell. So I ate only the beancurd and left the soup untouched.
That was a very satisfying lunch.
On my way back to office, I spotted a thing of great beauty.
This.
With a not so beautiful price tag.
No, no. Don't buy this, madam. You already have these, remember?
OK. Perhaps no more Dutch Ovens. But I want one of these cast iron pans.
Waiting for year end sales hee..hee...
KIV Dutch oven for christmas presents to oneself! :D Fatty and Meaty - they rhymes! I like strong herbal taste.
ReplyDeleteOh, no more hah..hah... I already have 3 dutch ovens in the kitchen!
DeleteYes. Waiting for sales. The pans are nice. I just bought a nice medium-sized pot anaoverdover 3-tiers steamer over the weekend. On sale.
ReplyDeleteThat was a good buy!
DeleteOMG!!! Over RM1K, no, thank you. Reserved specially for masterchefs, not for me, the half-past-six cook. That's cute - half fat pork for the pork belly or three-layer pork. Never seen it called that way...so no worries, eat...you'll get fat but by half only. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's another layer of fat, right? LOL!
DeleteFatty and meaty, I like!
ReplyDeleteRM1000++, jaws dropped!
hee...hee...
DeleteI thought you already have a cast iron pan as well? ;) Two is never one too many...hehehe! :D Does cast iron pans work with induction?
ReplyDeleteYes, but I want another one hah..hah... From what I read, cast iron works with induction. But do confirm first at the shop before you buy one. It's a good investment, I tell you.
DeleteI want to buy a cast iron pan too, and I saw a very very affordable priced one at Aeon but dare not to buy as I doubted if it was the real cast iron >_<
ReplyDeleteI wonder what brand is that.
DeleteI still cannot visualize your imaginary size for eating so much! I still think you are slim as I remembered your small feet in selipar at Ritz Carlton.
ReplyDeleteDon't be fooled by my Cinderella feet. LOL!
DeleteThe blue one is beatiful!
ReplyDeleteThere is also a green one at the shop. But I have too many already LOL!
