I Fell In Love

One morning I was greeted by these Adenium flower buds. And then I was greeted with more blooms. This is a good sign, no? Love is in the air! So who did I fall in love with?

But before I get to the subject of my affections, look at these.

And these.

For once, Monday is kind of sparkly.

A little later in the day, while running errands, I came across this little thing.

I have a soft spot for puppies and kittens (and babies). Don't we all? I looked at it and my heart filled with love. I wanted to oochii koochii kooo that itsy bitsy kitten. But duty calls. So I went to do what I had to do.

After I was done, I had to see little kitty again.

Look at that. Tiny scruffy little thing. It looked weak. Then I got down and patted it's little head.

Auuuwwww!!!! I love you!!! I want to take you home!!! Little kitty was tired like. Maybe it was ill. I tried to make it look up but it was too weak to even lift its head. I was very tempted to scoop it up and bring it back to office.

But no. I can't do that. I hope someone takes pity on little kitty and give it some food. Sigh.... as I walked away, my heart broke.

Then I went to have lunch.

I thought of buying a little something for kitty but alas there was no fish or anything that I thought suitable for it. When I left the shop, I was tempted to go back and get kitty. But my head ruled me heart.

The next day, it rained heavily.  After lunch, I walked past the same spot where I found kitty. But no. Kitty wasn't there anymore. End of love story. Sigh.....

This grew from a seed.

  6. Mine is blooming beautifully, few leaves - looks like it thrives well in hot, dry weather. I have saved the dried seeds but have not got down to planting them yet.

    1. That's what I like about Adenium. No need to water so frequently and yet it flowers.

    1. That's nice to know but that attachment can be a heart breaker when something happens to the beloved pet.

  10. Oh dear, this little kitty looks all scruffy and unkept. With her hair untidy like that, my only guess was she was separated from her mother as she needs her mother to groom her. She's probably weak and tired from all the crying and call for her mother. Chances of survival for a kitten so young without her mother is practically nil...it's heartbreaking to see. Hopefully her mother came back for her or someone picked her up.

  12. This type of flower is popular for good feng shui beliefs. It brings abundance of happiness in many forms including a kitty for you to adopt. I hope no Myanmar picked the kitty for their cooking pot. Wakakaka
