After lunch the other day, I decided to walk around Damansara Uptown as a form of exercise. Hah! It was not a very hot day owing to the rain earlier.
As I turned the corner, I saw this little shop.
Restoran Cow Cow Burger, serving Arabic and Western Cuisine. How interesting! So I was very kepoh and went to inspect the menu.
Sandwiches, burgers and soft drinks. I take it that this is the western part of it. The Falafel sandwich would be the Arabic influence (there's even a Mexican).
Ah! Mandi Lamb! That I must try. So, I vowed to return for an exotic meal.
That looks good doesn't it? The rice tastes very much like briyani rice, aromatic with spices.
The two pieces of lamb were very meaty and tender.
The curry gravy was a tad salty and quite mild on the spice factor. Not as robust as Indian curry.
The small serving of vegetables did not make much of an impression but made a good enough accompaniment to the meal.
Water is FOC, so thumbs up to them.
Free wifi too with a cute name and an auspicious password. Eight fatts!
What I like is that you pay the price as advertised. No service charge, no GST.
I had my eye on the Cow Cow Burger. So I came back.
I love burgers and I have high expectations.
Regret at first bite. I'm sorry I did not like this burger. There were no onions or any sauce in it and the cheese had a very strong smell. Something like the KFC cheese sauce. Even the chili sauce tasted funny.
There was not much going for the burger even though it had double beef patties, double cheese and mushrooms. Honest opinion. I had a tough time finishing the burger.
If I do return, it would be for the Mandi Lamb. Or the kebabs. As for the burgers, they can wait for me till the cows come home.

Lembu lembu. LOL!
DeleteWhat a catchy sign. I like people with a good sense of humour.
ReplyDeleteI like the sign and the wifi user ID hee..hee..
DeleteLet me bookmark this. I will try the Mandi Lamb! I like your way of exercising by walking around DU. My preferred exercise too, hahaha. Is the burger patty beefy enough?
ReplyDeleteThe mandi lamb is decent enough. The burger patty was beefy but could do with onions and some sauce. I don't recommend it.
DeleteOooo...I'd love the food here, or most of it, at least. No, thanks to the burger.
ReplyDeleteYes, not the burger but the mandi lamb is tasty.
DeleteNice name 'Cow Cow' and very catchy too. Nowadays I'm in love with shawarma chicken. Every time I go to Arab resto, I only order shawarma, shawarma and shawarma with no veggies ^_^
ReplyDeleteIt's a catchy name and easy to remember :) I tried a chicken shawarma before in Boston but it was just OK. Must try those at authentic Arab restaurant baru got standard!
DeleteI had eaten some Arabian and Middle Eastern food over the years but I felt that I am too used to our Oriental Asian & Western styled food. i might try this place for the Mandi lamb!
ReplyDelete#KambingMandi #BanggaliHong
Again your # really cracked me up! I have eaten at Tarbush, Jalan Bukit Bintang and enjoyed the food. Never went back because not convenient to go there.
DeleteLOL.. wait till the cows come home for the burgers! Well, at least you like the lamb bath!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Lamb bath!
Deletesuch a cute name, ya! since the mandi lamb is good, hopefully the lamb kebabs would be too! grilled chicken should be a safe bet too! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope to try the lamb kebabs one day :)
DeleteI like the Mandi lamb

DeleteThe Mandi Lamb looks good. I like lamb soft and not chewy.
ReplyDeleteIt was tender and falling off the bone. Nice to eat!
DeleteNot really into Middle East food :P
ReplyDeleteOK, hah..hah..
DeleteApasal ada cow cow...rupanya makan di nasi mandy. Memang sedap tu kalau lauk lamb!
ReplyDeleteSedap! Boleh makan lagi :)
DeleteThe Mandi Lamb looked good and hearty. Does remind me of Indian briyani.
ReplyDeleteSayang the burger wasnt that good.
It was good but pity about the burger.
