Today I broke my fast at around 12:00pm+ at Twins Signature Roast Duck, Damansara Uptown. Where else, eh?
It's the most appropriate place for me to consume just meat. Besides, their roast duck is really good. I made sure to come early (before 12:30pm) because I noticed that the place seems not as quiet as before.
See that? This time I took one extra condiment (chili oil) and lined them all up. I was inspired by my friend who visited earlier and had 4 sauce plates of condiments.

The lady boss walked up to my table and immediately knew my order. Kopi C ais kosong. My friend investigated and told me that this friendly see thau phor is Donald's grandmother. In fact Donald's brother was interrogated kaw kaw and spilled some beans hmmm...
No need to say already, the duck was scrumptious. Eh, Donald and his brother were nowhere to be seen. It must be their day off. There was a leng lui at the cashier.
After my wonderful meal, I took a walk along the row of shophouses. I was looking for other places to eat meat.
The Good Guys are now serving lunch. They used to open only in the evenings for minum-minum. As a matter of fact a couple of weeks ago when I passed by, I was given a RM5.00 voucher.
This voucher is good until 31-12-2023 and maybe one day I will drop by. After all, I love Thai food. I wonder if they serve anything else besides these sets. I will have to wait for a day when I allow myself carbs.
Their menu looks rather interesting. Under the main course I saw Iberico Pluma Steak. The print on the menu is quite small so you will have to click on the photo to enlarge it.
I walked in and had a look at the menu.
Alamak! All in Chinese. It was a two sided laminated menu. When I was editing the photos, I realized that the menu is bilingual. So there is an English version.
Wow, the menu really included A LOT OF pork and even duck innard! I guess those drying outside are the "noodle" of the Kuih Chiap.

ReplyDeleteDried kway chap? Don't think I've seen that here before. They use the freshly-made ones, something like kway teow. Gosh! RM28.00 for the burger! Ah well! I guess pork is as expensive as beef and lamb now...or at least here, that is.
I have always thought they were made and cooked fresh. Apparently not. Pork is very expensive these days :(

Next time, I will ask him to present you a complimentary Whole Roast Duck with a flower on its head and feet wearing mini Selipar Jepun. Kekekeke
You are so geli to eat Pork Head and Pork Ears!!! You might find dandruffs on the head complete with slimy ear wax inside!!! Eeewwww!! TM pengsan.
That's why lah the two boys disappeared. They are scared that I would go and claim the complimentary whole duck. Some more must put flower and mini selipar Jepun hah...hah...hah...

Ah, I wonder when I can go try out this delicious roast duck. Definitely will eat this if I am around the vicinity. Oh, looking forward to your review on the pork everything including heart. ๐

DeleteOh dear....everything you're excited about...pork head, pork ears, pork skin, pork belly, pork knuckle...all not for me...lol. Especially pork head & ears...pork skin & pork belly (at least this one still tolerable) usually pass to my other half.
ReplyDeleteYes, those trays of white/dry stuff is the kway chap (I recently found out that kway chap comes from dry sheets and when cooked, they curl up...I've always thought they were fresh, broad sheets of kway teow before being told by a kway chap hawker!). Ah, this is the famous offshoot from Lebuh Kimberly in Penang..you must bring your lahling here for a taste of his hometown. ^_~
