I prepped lunch again today and I was very sure that I won't be hungry this morning. Last night I had a big serving of air fried fatty beef trimmings.
It was so good that I kept on eating and eating until almost finished (there were a few pieces left). I was so stuffed!
This morning's packed lunch was omelette, bacon, sausage and the leftover beef trimmings. Around 9:00am I was hungry. Alamak..... So lunch became breakfast again.
Come lunch time I hopped over to Ding Xiang Sang Nyuk Noodles. Yesterday they were closed and today I noted there were many customers, almost full house. Luckily there was a table for me.
I sipped the soup so that I could take a photo of the contents. Very loaded with liver, kidneys, stomach, intestines, pork balls, pork slices and coagulated blood.
They gave me more pork balls today. Previously there were only two. I think they mixed dried sotong into the pork balls because that was what I tasted.
The chili dip was very spicy and tangy. That made it all so sedap and slurpy. I saw many people having noodles, especially the konlo style noodles with dark sauce. I used to love that.
I didn't mean to go look at kitties again but I had to walk past the pet shop because I was going to the bank.
If only I could take all of you home and give you all my love. Sobs! When I go home today I will give my Ah Girl a cuddle and Kittie Kat too. Not Belle Belle though because she doesn't like to be held. I probably would get scratched.
After my banking errands, I went to the Kaw Kaw Kopi truck to claim my free kopi.
The soup not for me. All the innard!! Yikes. But now I am slowly taking liver soup, to replenish my blood. My 2nd blood test came back not positive, doctor commented on my low hemoglobin. So I need take more iron. Now taking some Chinese med (my parents bought), pharmacy bought iron folic and everyday my mil cook Bayam for me.
ReplyDeleteLiver is good for iron. So is red meat. You can also try Sangobion tablets.
DeleteGosh!! My doctor has been telling me to eat whatever in your bowl! Yikes! The blood and intestines haunt my head since I was a kid because I saw the suppliers cooked the blood from the dead pig and washed its intestines too. I wanna get hypnotized to eat them. Liver is my favourite! Yums!
ReplyDeleteYou really influenced me so much until I had to go to Hank's today to buy their saltish roasted pork belly to eat. The other day was 2 bags BBQ from Wing Heong. Soon I would be taking those kitties home too. What next? ๐ ๐ ๐
LOL! You don't have to eat like me. You could modify and perhaps eat less carbohydrates especially processed carbohydrates. Those kitties will love you, LOL!
DeleteWe like to eat dried sotong because it gives the pork balls extra umami. Hugs hugs to Girl and Kittie Kat too. ๐
ReplyDeleteYes, the dried sotong flavor was good. Meow! LOL!
DeleteI hear pig's blood is banned in Singapore, not available in the island republic. In the old days, barbers must eat that once a month to cleanse their insides of those tiny bits of hair that got in through their noses and mouths. I love it fried with kangkong.
ReplyDeleteOh really? That's interesting, I did not know that. I am not exactly a fan of pig blood but since it was in the combo and it does not taste unpleasant, I eat.
DeleteAre these the same 3 cats you showcased in your other post? I like the one in the second photo the best. I see your Belle Belle is like my late Cookie...who doesn't like to be held. I used to think it was my fault (and always felt bad about my upbringing of him that made him not want to be held) but I now understand that cats are like humans (they each have different personalities). P/S: Yes, you tasted dried sotong in the pork meatballs as the good ones are usually made with them to give off that fragrant taste.
ReplyDeleteYes, those are the three same cats in my other post. No takers yet, poor things. I remember you told me about Cookie not liking to be held. Belle Belle is very uncomfortable when I attempted to hold her like a baby. She growls and then tries to scratch me. Ah, so those were good meatballs then. I liked the sotong taste.
DeleteThe portion of the pork innard were rather generous as I can see the amount was more than those meat slices.
ReplyDeleteThe main ingredients are all the innards, yes very generous serving.
