Lamb Loin Again

I had another packet of Pure South lamb loin in the freezer. So I decided to give myself a nice treat since I enjoy lamb a lot.

I defrosted the lamb the night before.

I seasoned the lamb with Seasoned All Season Salt. Then I pan fried the lamb in my trusty cast iron pan.

No need to put any oil because the lamb is already very fatty.

I also bought a packet of asparagus.

I sauteed the asparagus in the same pan that I used to cook the lamb.

I also bought a box of cherry tomatoes.

They were roasted in the air fryer.

Oh ya, I bought a very cute cutting board. I couldn't resist hee..hee... I thought it would be nice to use it as a serving platter.

Yesterday was supposed to be my (replacement for failed Wednesday) skip day but unfortunately again I could not hold out so I broke my fast after 23 hours. I shouldn't feel disappointed because I fasted, just for 23 hours and not longer (32-42 hours).
I did not fast today and won't fast for the next few days. I will attempt another skip day next Wednesday. So I nourish myself today, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

This was dinner, not presented glamorously.

Well, the lamb was good. And so were the asparagus and roasted cherry tomatoes.

Here is an interesting lecture by Dr Pradip Jamnadas on food addiction and fasting.

Enjoy!

  1. Wah, your lamb asparagus meal would cost a minimum of rm88 in cafes. Looks so tasty. Is the lamb tender? Today I ordered mutton varuval at BananaBro which is not spicy at all, perfect for me.

  2. Ya, no need to be so strict. Can break fast anytime. Nowadays I can easily fast 23 hours but not 45 hours. The last time I did a water fasting for 45 hours, I didn't drink enough water so my eyes see a big bright spot in the middle of my vision. Luckily the big bright spot went away quickly after I drink enough water. I thought I was going blind. What a scare. πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

    1. That is so scary! Must be careful when doing a longer fast. Good for you that you practice fasting.

  5. Your photo is absolutely gorgeous!!! I miss lamb so much but I am still sticking to my no red meat diet. Perhaps I'll just go a nice lamb shank meal one of these days.
