This week I am eating a lot of noodles. Yep, that's a whole lot of carbs going into my system. I am already fat so a few more plates of char koay teow or wat tan hor or whatever is not going to make much difference. Just eat lah!
I walked over to Yu Tao Xuan Restaurant@Damansara Uptown (formerly Restoran Yok Tho Hing) for a late lunch. I remembered they had Penang Char Koay Teow on their menu.
I asked the server what is the difference between the Premium (RM12.00) and the Luxurious (RM18.00). Apparently the more expensive one is a bigger serving and she told me that the Premium is good for one person.
As usual, I like kopi o ais kosong. Unfortunately it was so diluted. Ugh! While waiting for my CKT, I noticed they have a special drinks menu.
Dalgona Coffee, a drink that was viral during the start of the MCO. But judging from their diluted kopi o, I don't know if the fancy ones are a better bet.
My CKT was served and wah...I did not expect two big prawns and so many cockles! I had a taste of the koay teow and oh my, it was good. Lots of wok hei and flavor.
The two prawns were very fresh. Portion size of this CKT is also generous.
I have not eaten cockles for a very long time and yes, I enjoyed these a lot. This Penang CKT got standard lah, can come and eat again when the craving hits.
Meanwhile, my cat is still sleepy.
