Covid-19 MCO : Day #82 (A Better Pizza)

Today's post is fresh. Reporting today's happenings and not what happened yesterday or the day before or the day before that heh..heh....

I have just finished listening to our PM's announcement today and it looks like we are now entering the recovery phase movement control order from 10-06-2020 to 31-08-2020.

There will be less restrictions (eg. inter-state travel will be allowed but our borders remain closed, so no overseas travel) subject to SOPs continuing to be observed. It's not too bad as we are now enjoying more freedom of movement and most of us have returned to work. Entertainment outlets are still not allowed to operate so we have to wait another while before we can go to the movies again.

I started the morning by fooling around with my cat and feeding her. Then clearing her errr...deposits from her litter box. I do this twice a day to maintain cleanliness of her toilet.

After that I went outside to make friends with my potential "son-in-law". He is more receptive towards me now after I made peace with him and started giving him food. Nowadays he knows how to make cute noises when he sees me at the door.

Meanwhile my Girl has found a cosy spot under the coffee table to chill out. She does not want to go out because you-know-who is outside. She is still very coy with the fella.

She does this "loaf" position a lot.

As usual, this morning I went to Aeon with my partner for our grocery run. This is the old people queue.

And this is the young people queue.

Inside the supermarket I noticed that this area where they put all the Oreos (which started my Oreo eating frenzy) has been replaced by these products.

No longer a hot item.

Then I saw durians. Musang King some more.

Aiyoyo...I want.........

But how to eat? RM100.00 per packet. So I walked away.

Back at home, before lunch, I washed my cat's litter box. This is a once a month chore. The things I do for the love of a cat.

After that I mopped the floor.

So what's for lunch? After the dismal pizza experience the other day, I had to have a better pizza.

Skippys Pizza! I have been to their now closed Uptown outlet back in 2016 with my brother and had a good experience.

I got me a Skippys Loaded and Chicken Wings in 7 Sauces.

The pizza comes with chili and garlic, yum! And yes, this is a good pizza, just as good as I remembered. I will order again when I have a pizza craving.

Having the chili and ...

...garlic is really nice.

But this being a delivery, the crust was not crispy by the time it reached me but what's more important is the taste of the pizza. Definitely head and shoulders above the other one.

As for the chicken wings, this is a proper BBQ chicken wings and it was delicious. Oh, I didn't eat the whole pizza and all the wings in one go hah..hah... It was divided between lunch and dinner.

  1. Good good good that you ate a good pizza today to make up for that bad experience that day. I have eaten Skippy's pizza back in 2014 I believe and they are tasty!

    1. Very true! It's quite a chore going to the supermarket. Then at every shop, you get your temperature checked and clean your hands with santizer. LOL!

  3. Ya girl girl, no need to go out la. Stay indoors, more comfortable and safer too. Love the photo of her on the floor looking coyly at your camera. The photo above your sentence "after that I mopped the floor". She is such a sweet girl.

  6. So I can go to KL now, eh? Unfortunately, the air fare costs a bomb, like flying overseas in the past!!! Not worth spending so much.

Durian RM100 a packet!!!! They can stuff them up their you-know-where, if you ask me...with the skin intact!!! Tsk! Tsk! They think money grows on trees or what...like durians?

I think I will go and grab a pizza one of these days, spinach and egg, our favourite! Been ages since I had one.

    1. Come! Come! LOL! But best to wait later when things are more settled and normal. Right now is no fun with queues and temperature checks.

  8. Yes, thinking of pizza now. Chicken wings look delicious. I like your Girl in her loaf position. Will you be adopting the male cat too? Musang King is so expensive. For the past 2 days, I have been enjoying our local durians selling at RM 8, RM 10 and RM 14 per kilo. I still have some in the fridge.

    1. I don't mind adopting the boy but he has to stay outside. LOL! I read that durians are cheaper now but does not seem so over here.

  9. Mmmmm...I can almost 'smell' the freshness of your post...hihihi! ;D This is the first time I've seen a pizza come with sambal and garlic (localised already!). That pizza and wings, I'll probably need 4 meals to finish them! ;)

Aiyoyo, after so long, still got queue? I've not been to Aeon since the MCO started and was thinking of going after 9 June but seeing the queue has not subsided, I may have to rethink that. Eh, I thought durians are cheaper this year? Lucky I don't eat durians...free also don't want...kekeke! ;)

Ya, I clean my cat's litter box once a month too by replacing with fresh litter and washing the box. Your girl still shy shy...don't want to meet her prospective boyfriend...and your prospective son-in-law. I think cats have a head start on how to be cute as early as when they're in their mothers' wombs...hahaha! :D I see Cookie do that position very often too but this is the first time I hear of it being referred to as the 'loaf' position...lol.

    1. It was actually too much for me too (surprise! surprise!) and I kept 3 wings for the next day (today).

If you go an a weekday it might now be so crowded. Weekends definitely have long queue especially with temperature checks and all that.

I read about that "loaf" position and yah, my girl does look like a loaf a bread hah..hah..

  10. ooo - great pizza-loving minds think alike! i finally had a taste of skippys last month, as it was available for delivery briefly for a few days to my area. i ordered skippys loaded too - and was pleasantly surprised by the garlic on the side, since i loooooove garlic (and maybe they had surplus garlic on the evening i ordered, cos the tub was full to the brim with garlic!). it went well with the pizza. i hope the garlic comes with all their different pizzas, in case i order another one next time! :)
