Covid-19 MCO : Day #85 (Eh? Chicken Rice Again?)

The chicken rice we tapau from Seng Kee Chicken Rice@Damansara Uptown was so good that my partner wanted to have it again. Well, so did I!

So last Saturday evening we decided to dine-in since our dine-in experience at another restaurant went quite well.

We had to record our name, contact number and temperature just like at anywhere else and we were the only diners that evening.

We ordered half a poached chicken like before.

And we added beansprouts.

I must have the chili and ginger condiment.

My partner was very hungry and so was I.

So he got himself two servings of rice hah..hah...

I don't care much for the soup and gave him my share.

After we were done, we walked to the car. On the way there, this very friendly kitty befriended us.

Sorry for the blurry pics because he was excited and moving around, rubbing himself against our legs. Auuwww...I like this fella! Sorry boy, I wish I could take you home but I can't.

Yesterday morning I saw this photo in The Star.

It made me want to cry and the accompanying story is More pets found abandoned during MCO. So sad.

I would never abandon this one. I love her so much!

Girl! Mommy sayang!

This Ah Boy knows how to give me muka kesian. I have adopted him more or less.

Every morning he comes over for a feed. He is not the friendly type, still very cautious of me.

At least now he does not run away when I am near. He even allowed me to come close to snap his pic.

  1. I have been thinking of chicken rice but haven't have the chance to try the chicken rice at one of the shop near us. So sad that those pets have been abandoned by their owners. So nice, now you will have a Girl and a Boy couple. After a while, the Boy cat will warm up to you because you have so nice to him.

  2. Yes, I have to agree that the kampung poached chicken here is really good...until I can eat the skin also. ^_~

Yeah, it's always sad to hear of pets being abandoned (there are already so many strays looking for forever homes). I'm like you...kind of adopted a few cats in my area coz they'll come everyday in the hope I'll feed them. Are you sure you want to adopt this boy? He looks like a young cat but when he grows older (and becomes sexually active..ahem!), he'll be spraying all over your place to mark his territory (that's why male cats have to be neutered). I've a suspicion (lately) that Cowboy has been abandoned too coz I see him wandering outside all the time now unlike before when he's usually in my neighbour's house and let out only occasionally. That's the problem when someone takes in a male stray and don't want to spend money on neutering...haiz...the cat, once of age, will start spraying all over the house which makes the owner abandon him (same thing with unneutered females who get pregnant). :'(

    1. Oh dear, poor Cowboy. I am sure they still feed him, right? This boy cat is a matured one. I have seen him do this spraying thing on my flower pots and once even at my front door. That freaked me out, seeing his tail go high up in the air and vibrating! I chased him off then and my partner gently chided me. He said that is normal behavior for a male cat and I should just clean up and not scare him away. Haiz...

  3. aiyo...ur ah girl is so pampered la! choosy over food, partner and sofas...hahah....Kesian the future son-in-law, so loyal waiting for her till today. Yea, lotsa pets being abandoned, but what to do? can sympathise them but cannot take them all home. The friendly cat on the street must have smelt chicken over u both, hence thought u might have food and starts rubbing himself to your legs...

  4. Must feel good dining in during cmco period because the tables are far apart and less people. Not sure now in rmco duration, will it be the same or will more ppl dine in. The chicken sure looks smooth! Must be very tasty.

  6. I feel so sad to see so many strays. Yes feels very sad when we cannot take those friendly ones home. Thanks for feeding the boy. Later if he is friendly n u don't want him to spray, can get your brother to help to take him to the vet to snip snip.

  13. Me too have more courage to dine out now after my previous experiences. To be honest, I'm not a pet lover and I won't keep any pet but I really don't understand those peoples who would abandoned their pet. You shouldn't start if you can't maintain!

  14. Chicken rice was one of the first dishes I loved in Malaysia. We used to visit The Chicken Rice Shop weekly when we first arrived.
