We are all suckers for specials deals, right? Save money, mah. Correct or not?
So the other day while tinkering with my Fave app, I came across this Favedeal and I bought it.
And because I already have a RM5.00 cashback, I paid only RM10.00.
So off I went to Nene Chicken at 11:00am because I was very hungry. When I got there, the restaurant was empty and a staff was wiping the counter.
I approached him with my order and guess what? He told me to come back later because they were "not ready". Not ready? Aren't they supposed to open at 10:00am? So I asked what time should I return and I was told 11:20am.
OK. So I went to the bookstore to pass time. I reckon it was better to wait past 11:30am to be on the safe side before going back to Nene Chicken.
When I got there, it looked like they were not quite there yet but the guy at the counter called out to someone in the kitchen who came out looking somewhat annoyed. Yup, he was being disturbed by a customer. So anyway, I got my order and I waited to collect my meal.
I was told that my fries would be delivered to me.
So this was what I got - rice, a piece of chicken thigh, kimchi and a soft drink.
Then the guy delivered my fries and though I smiled and thanked him, he was bent on showing his displeasure.
Much as I enjoy Korean fried chicken, given the attitude of the service staff here, I doubt if I would return. Deal or no deal.
11am in a mall is already late enough! if the restaurant were popular, there'd be a long backlog of orders by the time they're finally ready near noon :)

DeleteGee!!! That kind of attitude, I would never ever bother to go back again. Yet to try the one here - heard that it is sangat pedas, but nicer than Pelicana.

DeleteMy friends and I went to Nene in Midvalley on Friday evening around 7pm and we were told "ayam tak sampai lagi dari Avenue K". How can an outlet in a big mall with lots of crowd like midvalley can afford not to have enough stocks? The chicken then arrived and we managed to order. And we wanted to add on order at 9pm, "ayam dah habis". And the service? It's like customers are annoying them.
ReplyDeleteAh, you too! I wonder if the owner of the outlets are aware of their staff attitude problem. On an earlier visit (early afternoon) the outlet ran out of burgers and chicken fillets. So me and another customer left. I am not going back there ever again.
DeleteThere was a neighbourhood stall they used to serve satay bee hoon, i ordered satay bee hoon one day and the boss shouted no more no more we no more serve satay bee hoon and pushed me aside. The lady boss also another one with attitude problem, when i place my orders she always never answer me and gave me a black face as if i owe her money, she nv answer me how i know she heard my order. I never return after that.

DeleteDeal or no deal, I would have just walked away and not returned. I have no patience for these kind of outlets that don't open on time as they're supposed to.

DeletePeople who cannot hide their emotions better don't work in service line, that's really annoying when we as customer need to see their "unwilling" black face, like we owe them a few million like that >_<

ReplyDeleteWhat took them so long to get the kitcgen ready? The operating hour should be 10, so by 10, by hook or by crook, there must be something ready. How to do business like that? Tsk, tsk.

They don't deserve our patronage with that type of attitude. I won't go there again.
DeleteSome places have very poor customer service and their lousy attitude will drive customers away even if the food is good and price reasonable.

ReplyDeleteI noticed that too at certain places. They prefer Boost or Grabpay because they have to give us cashback if we use Fave. LOL!

DeleteI am a very sarcastic and blunt customer when the waiters give me bad service. I would question them loud and clear before kicking up more fuss! Heh heh. That's me.
ReplyDeleteI didn't eat at Starling's Nene because my wife gave terrible ratings to their food and service too. That was many months ago! I guess many people are born morons and will die as morons.
I wish you were there to kick their butt LOL! Don't bother to visit this outlet, go to the ones elsewhere.
