Strudel Bakery House Damansara Uptown

This is obviously a non-carnivore post hah..hah...hah... Something that you (the non-carnivore) can indulge in, but I won't (for now).

I was doing my usual kepoh-kepoh walkabout when I crossed the road to buy some stuff for my mum.

This is the row along Big Pharmacy (where I was headed) and opposite the Polis Bantuan booth.

I circle the exact location just in case my brother wants to go there to do some sampling heh..heh...

Oh my. Strudel Bakery House. In the past, I would have stepped inside pronto to buy this and that because I love(d) strudels. My brother once carted a few boxes of apple strudel back from Australia and they were da bomb!

Besides Apple Strudel, they have strawberry, mango, durian (woohoo!) and peach. They also sell Cream Horns and Butter Cookies. Nope, I was not tempted one bit though I know these are wonderful pastries and I will not tolerate them well.

And then there are the lovely cakes. I bet they are scrumptious. Again, no, no cakes for me. What I want for my birthday is a Tomahawk Steak (hint..hint..).

In the meantime, some updates on the other carnivores in my house.

Belle Belle loves to hangout in this box which I set up for her.

Cats are obligate carnivores and they are not supposed to eat anything other than meat. But I have seen strays eating rice and all sorts of things for survival. I also remember a pet shop boss telling a customer not to feed the cat with carbohydrates.

As you can see, this one wanted to eat my roasted pork. I did not give her any because the meat is salted. Sorry Girl!

  1. I have been feeding some stray cats around my neighbourhood. Lately prices of pet food have gone up. I have added cooked rice + a packet of wet cat food + some left over meat pieces (from soup), cooked chicken live, mix & feed them. I think rice fills up their stomach for cold nights.

    1. That is so very kind of you. I think it is all right, some carbs won't harm them. The no carb rule I think applies strictly to those expensive breeds that have specific dietary needs.

  2. Even for a non-carnivore, I'm not interested in an apple strudel as I find them too sweet (I believe the apples are cooked in sugar to soften them...even more sugar in a pastry that already has sugar...yikes!). P/S: Cats in the wild may be carnivores but our house cats are not since they eat man-made kibbles...lol. They could be occasional carnivores when they catch a bird or a monitor lizard but even then they catch to hone their hunting skills, not to eat them...lol. The stray female I'm feeding recently brought me a present (a bird!) twice...aiks! >.<

    1. hah..hah..yes, I remember that you are not into anything too sweet. I suppose our house cats have evolved to become more omnivorous as I know of many who feed their kitties with rice and proteins. I learnt that they do better on raw meat but I don't have the time to prepare that.

Oh dear, a dead bird eeekkss!!! Lately Girl has been hunting lizards and I sometimes see one among my slippers. Yuks!
