Don't wanna be....all bah mah sef....anymore..... wahahahaha!!! Fortunately I am one of those strange people that actually thrive when they are by themselves.
While some people are all kelam kabut getting prepped up for their Chinese New Year reunion dinner, I am here at home, all zen-like. Give me a computer and Netflix, I am all good.
So as not to miss out on the ubiquitous yee sang that every table will be tossing this evening and the next few days (in fact some have been tossing like the last few days already), I got me a mini yee sang. Hah!
It came with all the fixins and two pairs of chopsticks (even though I did not request for cutlery).
The unfortunate part is that the fish skin was not crispy. I also found that the dressing was a tad to sweet. Maybe the plum sauce they used was on the sweet side.
Maybe I will eat this.
Now no need worry about food during holiday. Can order food delivery!!!
ReplyDeleteWish you a Happy Chinese New Year!! Gong xi fa cai!!
I am doing simple cooking. Yes, maybe tomorrow I order food. LOL!
Deleteyea, i m those strange type and prefer to be alone. Guess what? i m alone in the room reading blogs right now while outside is so noisy of the firecrackers/fireworks/TV noise....etc...Happy CNY to u and your lovely daughters!
ReplyDeleteHappy CNY to you too. So we are in the same gang, loners. LOL!
DeleteVery convenient these days. Can order food even during CNY. I love yee sang. Wishing you Happy CNY. Stay safe and healthy.
ReplyDeleteHappy CNY to you too. After just so few days, I am tired of my own cooking. LOL!
DeleteYour mini yee sang looks good. Not having that, not in our Foochow culture. My! You're fast! Not sure when I shall be blogging about our reunion dinner. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a really nice yee sang and thankfully not really mini hah..hah...
DeleteOh, very nice looking yee sang. I was also at home eating ice cream when he was with his parents for reunion dinner. Happy cny to you! May your back be better soon! Gong xi fa cai!
ReplyDeleteGong Xi Fa Cai and thanks for your wishes.
DeleteOh no! Why didn't you go back hometown to toss with them? I would cry buckets if I am alone for CNY. You and NUx are strange peeps!!! Heeheeheehee... I must learn to be alone sometimes.
ReplyDeleteIn a way, it is a blessing that I am a loner. I survived so well during the lockdown. In fact I loved the lockdown LOL!
DeleteOops, I've got some catching up to do....I don't mind being alone either. I thought I'd be doing that this CNY until my husband also decided last minute that he's not going back to Ipoh. I thought I could relax and order food delivery but ended up I have to cook our reunion dinner...lol. P/S: If there's one thing I won't order, it's a yee sang for one...hah..hah...so weird-lah tossing sendiri...wuahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteLOL! The yee sang was more like a regular salad. OK lah satu orang tossing the yee sang, no need to share hah..hah...
DeleteYes, sometimes we don't need any company or anybody as we have wifi, google, music, coffee, books and Netflix haha, good that you enjoy your solitaire time.
ReplyDeleteNowadays even when people are together, they tend to look at their phones and ignore each other LOL!
DeleteI made my signature fruit Yee Sang this year to be enjoyed during reunion lunch with my family. We had Poon Choy, pork knuckle vinegar and steamed fish for this year reunion lunch, all homemade by oursleves.
ReplyDeleteYour fruit yee sang must be very good! Wah... all your dishes I like very much especially Poon Choy and pork knuckle vinegar!
