If He Doesn't Want To Take You There, Call GrabFood

I used to love going to Goodness Greens on Friday evenings with my partner because I enjoy the wholesome food and salads.

However, due to bad service on two occasions, my partner refused to return. It never occurred to me that I could use GrabFood to have my favorite meals delivered to me.

Well, after experiencing food delivery from Dahmakan, I finally embarked on my food delivery experience with GrabFood.

This is my very sad looking Teriyaki Chicken Grain Bowl. Food that comes in a box rarely look attractive. The delivery guy tilted the box to pass it to me through the gate although I was prepared to open the gate to take delivery.

I had another nicely ripe avocado in the fridge and I added it to my meal. My dinner was OK, just that I remember it tasted better at the restaurant.

Then I did it again. This time at the office for lunch, the Protein Power Bowl.

This time I chose not to receive cutlery (which I  overlooked in my first order) and because I remembered I did not have enough sauce at the restaurant, I opted for an extra serving of dhall curry.

The chickpeas could have been more tender and I would have preferred if the tofu was pan fried.

I realized that one serving of dhall curry would have sufficed but the extra was not wasted.

Then because I got carried away (it's great to take a an extended break from cooking! woohoo!!) and ordered in again.

This time I got the Build Your Own Salad. There are 3 sizes -Petite, Medium and Grand. Of course I had to go with Grand and chose Honey Grain Mustard dressing.

It was really good and I regretted not getting extra dressing. Dressings come is (very) small plastic containers unlike the sauces/curry sauce which come in paper tubs.

I added my own soft center eggs which I brought from home. So satisfied!

Then my latest order just last Sunday. Another Grand salad.

I opted for peanut sauce, this time one serving only, bearing in mind that they are more generous with the sauces compared to dressings.

It's something like satay sauce. Pretty good.

I decided to transfer the contents into my glass bowl to make it easier to toss with the dressing.

Besides it's a lot easier to eat like this in front of the telly hee...hee....

You know what? I miss my own cooking wahahahaha!!! Next week I cook!

  1. Looks kind of messy, nothing that tickles my fancy. We have food delivery services here too, can even get orders sent from Payung...but nothing beats eating it there. Sibu is so small, we might as well go and eat on the spot, can save on the delivery charges some more.

    1. Eating at the restaurant is definitely better of course. In my case, not convenient to go on my own hence the delivery.

    1. That's provided the restaurant is on Grabfood. There were a few that I like but either they are not on Grabfood or they don't deliver to my area :(

  3. That really pisses me off when the delivery riders tilt the box to squeeze it through our gates before we can even open the gate. This is delivery 101 and they should know better than to tilt the box! >_< I've never used Grabfood or Foodpanda as they only deliver from eateries around my address...and those around me, I can get to myself with no problem (it's the food in PJ or Bangsar areas that I want!). Plus I can't get past the fact that I have to pay delivery charges of RM5 when ordering a single meal (as that bumps up the price quite a bit). When it says free delivery (even if it's already incorporated into the price like dahmakan), it feels ok somewhow...hehe! ;)

    2. Yup, when I was dining in Eatomo Bangsar, we were given some Grabfood vouchers only to find out they don't deliver to our address...haiz.

  5. wow! I like that you added your own food like the avocado and onsen egg to the meals. That is another good thing about not dining in because we can add whatever we like to the meals from eateries.

  8. Plain white tofu looked awkward in that salad and I second you that pan fried it would be better~
