IlaoIlao : My New Addiction

The first time I tried IlaoIlao frozen yogurt, I fell in love with it. Then I fantasized that one day a kiosk would open at The Starling. Please. Please. Open at The Starling. PLEASE!!!

Guess what?

My dream came true!

So. I have been stalking this spot. For days.

Finally!

Yes!!!! hee..hee...hee....

Gah!

So good! nyum...nyum...nyum...

The toppings to choose from are fruits....

...crunchy stuff....

...and sauce.

I always go for the LARGE size heh..heh...heh....

One fruit, one crunch and one sauce. You can do any combo you like, all fruit or all crunch, whatever.

Heavenly! Then I discovered that they give discounts every Wednesday with 33% on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. That would be the best day to enjoy my favorite treat.

I guess this will be my favorite spot at the mall.

So so GOOD!!!

Then I went for the Sanum - 3 fruits, 2 crunch and one sauce.

Aiyoyo..... I love this!

No, no. This is not healthy. It is only healthy if you take the yogurt neat - no toppings, no sauce. And even then, you need portion control - choose small size hah..hah..hah...

Nope. I am going to enjoy this. Not everyday of course, this thing is expensive.

  1. Jelesnya! I have only been able to catch the 33% off by chance but you could walk to Starling every time there is 33% off every month to get your llao llao. I must try Sanum when I can get 33% off next time. So far I only buy medium for 33% off and that is only one time I managed to do it.

  2. I remember you mentioning that you don't like plain yogurt (me too, I had yogurt ice cream once and disliked it immensely) but you seem to enjoy this one. So, I guess you need something sweet to balance out (aka cover) the milky and tart taste. 3 toppings already cost you RM18.85 before...this Sanum with 6 toppings, I shudder to think how much that will cost...ouch (too much to pay for a cold treat, if you ask me)! O_o

    1. Seeing that I liked this yogurt and to test my (current) tolerance for plain yogurt, I bought a small tub of Greek yogurt. I added a little bit of honey and some granola and yup, I still don't like plain yogurt! But this frozen one seems fine to me even when I taste it without the embellishments. The taste of the one at Starling is not as tart or milky as the one I had at Aeon. Maybe different batches taste different. The Sanum is RM1.00 cheaper than the large. More toppings but perhaps a little less yogurt.

  3. My girl loves frozen yogurt - we would go to one place here for that, so cheap - RM6.90 only for something the size of yours, no toppings, no add-ons. How much did you have to cough out for what you had? Bet that cost a bomb!!! Blogpost on our cheap one here coming soon - I am not really a fan though, I never liked yogurt.

  7. Definitely good timing to enjoy the yogurt ice cream when they have the 33% off as it is not really cheap. I tried once or twice and I'll get mine with caramel sauce next round, so tempted to try but Sam always wanted other topping when we had this =.="
