Just Eat The Laksa

Besides Asam LaksaAh Cheng Laksa also serves other things like nasi lemak and curry mee. They have very attractive meal sets for lunch and afternoon tea.
I was curious, so I decided to try the meal sets over a few visits.

First thing I tried was the nasi lemak.

The rice is not as lemak as expected and the chicken rendang is passable. And so is the sambal. The rice is quite a big portion and I only managed half.

The I tried the curry laksa set. It was not memorable.

It was not terrible, it was not great.

The last thing I tried was the fruit rojak. Nope. Did not like it. So based on my experience, the laksa is the best bet.

  3. I agree that only their laksa is the best and nothing else.... Soon their assam laksa will disappear into thin air if they don't improve further as others are getting pretty closer to the authentic Penang's Assam Laksa by using the correct rice noodles.

  5. Ya, usually I will eat Assam Laksa junior bowl when I eat at this place although I have tried both their curry laksa and nasi lemak by sharing with my friends. I like that they have junior bowls option on their menu. Don't think I have tried their rojak but I have tried their keropok lekor too.

  7. I have tried their curry noodles some 3 years ago, it doesn't impress at all. After then, I no longer want to try Ah Cheng, coz to me it is just another franchise kopitiam outlet.
