No Merdeka For Me

Well, so much for planning to do a through housekeeping on Merdeka Day. It was not to be.

This restaurant opened not too long ago and of course I had to check it out. I heard that the food here is better than Mr Tuk Tuk's. Hah!

When A Carnivore Goes To Teo Chew Lor

Friday and yesterday I was on a 23:1 fasting schedule. Meaning fast for 23 hours with one hour eating window.

An Eventful Weekend

Last Saturday my dad was discharged from the hospital. He was transported home via ambulance.

Guess Who Came To Lunch?

Yesterday I had a special guest to lunch. I had also invited my brother to join us but unfortunately he had a meeting that day.

What's New At The Starling?

Well, now that my dad is at home, I don't have to make daily trips to the hospital. 

Chicken Karaage

On Thursday obviously I had to eat something else (for variety), although I honestly would not mind another round of duck and siew yoke.

Ganja Duck

My dad is still in the hospital but on Sunday I did not visit him. I went for my usual grocery run and did whatever household chores that I could do.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken Mid Wings

This morning at Aeon, I picked up a packet of chicken mid wings. Mid wings are my favorite part of chicken wings.

After Vote, Makan!

Today I went to the polling station early. Slightly after 7:00am I walked to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Utama Damansara (3).

Makan After Hospital Trip

This morning I took Grabcar to the hospital. When I attempted to book a ride just before 9:00am, the fare was RM27.50. So I waited for another 15 minutes and the fare went down to RM14.50.

Sad

This morning my dad was taken by ambulance to the hospital. My brother and my mum followed by car and as at the time of writing, dad is still in the ER. He is stable, just waiting for blood transfusion and to be placed in a ward.

47 Days

It has been 47 days since restarting the carnivore way of eating and I am feeling good. I got back my mental clarity and calmness.
