Most of us like snacks, right? Though indiscriminate snacking is not a good habit, I will say that indulging once in a while is all right.
I was browsing Lazada (out of boredom) and I will say that it is not a wise thing to do. These people, they know what you like. So this thing popped up in my face.
Crispy chicken skin. How to resist, right?
So I placed an order for 2 packets (because one where got enough?)
It is very small, only 30 grams and cost RM8 a packet (cheaper during special offers).
It is a product of Thailand.
So all the product information is in Thai but you can see some English.
Dinner was a sandwich that I saved from earlier.
And in spite of the hefty sandwich, my stomach was calling out for snacks.
So.
Time to check out the crispy chicken skin.
It was very, very crunchy.
A little salty and not much else.
So I squirted some sweet chili sauce to the second batch (hah..hah..).
That's it. No more crispy chicken skin snacks for me. At least not one that comes in a tiny packet for RM8 a pop.
Now that you have tried them, you can use your air fryer to make your own very crispy Chicken skin snacks and eat as much as you like! Yay! ๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteIt's quite tedious so I probably won't attempt hah..hah,,,
DeleteI love chicken skin in steamed chicken at the chicken rice shops. I love the skin in roast chicken and I love the skin of fried chicken e.g. the KFC ones...but when it comes to fried chicken skin, I'd say no, a big thank you to you! I ordered some at Gurney Drive in Penang once and when it was served, I could see the hair in the skin, unplucked...and I left it completely untouched. Now I can't get that image out of my head!
ReplyDeleteI love chicken skin too especially chicken skin satay!
Deletetoo pricey and not worth it. Better DIY the fried chicken skin....Or better just get from KFC.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteThat is mighty expensive for so little! >_< I'd rather make my own for free (as I had done before to delicious results) by using/taking the skin off my (bought) chicken breast. Otherwise, I'd rather buy from pasar malam for half the price and twice as much...hah..hah.
ReplyDeleteYup, too expensive. I am too lazy to make my own crispy chicken skin hah..hah...
DeleteI can imagine the crunchiness, once awhile indulge... hahaha... anything unhealthy is always nice to eat... only the price is a bit high for that few pieces of skin... LOL...
ReplyDeleteToo expensive and although very crunch, tastewise it was flat.
DeleteWah. Now chicken skin also can packaged and sold like that?? Haha. Used to buy the crispy chicken skin from a Malay stall and a Chinese economy rice in the last but long time didn't do that, since MCO. Not so healthy actually. But such snacks really addictive, right??
ReplyDeleteYa, I was also surprised hah..hah... Those freshly fried ones definitely better.
DeleteFried chicken skin, an evil and guilty snack that I can't resist! Hubby once bought me a packet of freshly fried one from the fried chicken stall, I paired it with cold beer, oh la la, I'm on cloud nine! Snacking is definitely once in a while indulgence for me, I snack almost everyday, every night to be precise. >_<
ReplyDeleteAiyoyoyo! Freshly fried chicken skin definitely tak boleh tahan! I will eat all in one go hah...hah... I avoid snacking because I always go out of control >.<
DeleteI last ate the crispy fried skin from KFC. I never knew they are sold in packets now. Need to recover first as chicken is under forbidden food list.
