Nothing happened lah. My Valentine told me that morning "every weekend we Valentine mah..." wahahahaha!!!
Me and my partner, we are not into this Valentine's Day thingy, so it was a normal day for us. No fancy schmancy dinner, no flowers, no chocolates, no nothing. Just that we know we love each other, Valentines' Day or not. Wah seh! Romantic or what? Well, that's as romantic as we get.
So. This was my Valentine's Day dinner.
Meanwhile Belle Belle was upstairs looking very sien. Like her boyfriend didn't show up on Valentine's Day.
Though my usual complaint is not enough ulam. Both sambals were very tasty. The fried chicken leg was good too.
Then I indulged in my current favorite dessert. I hope my obsession will soon come to pass.
Same here, nothing happened...but we are planning to have something simple for Chap Goh Meh. Oooo...the bubur cacar looks so good, so lemak! Love your kerabu too - been awhile since I had any.
ReplyDeleteChap Goh Meh has come and gone. Time sure flies. Now I am looking forward to Hari Raya holidays hee..hee...
DeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you and your Penang lahling. I think all Penang guys have similar characters and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI ate my first bowl of curry to myself at Ratha's Raub after 100 days of no chillies or spicy food. I didn't have a good sleep after that. I better avoid curries again.
I looked at your Kim Chi soup and told myself - Next Month lah.
Same to you and your wifey! Penang guys not romantic is it? LOL! Luckily I am a practical person myself or else sure boh kam guan!
DeleteBetter abstain for the hot and spicy chilies for now. Once you are 100% recovered, then you can slowly reintroduce chilies to your diet again.
special deal nasi kerabu is a very good deal with the chicken leg and all...i would order that every day!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Every day then will get tired of it.
DeleteI think I just found a wonderful definition of " Valentine " = "No fancy schmancy dinner, no flowers, no chocolates, no nothing. Just that we know we love each other".....
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteNothing happened to me too. As usual as any other days!! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind having your dessert. Yum yum. And nasi kerabu looked tasty too.
LOL! Now "locked in" no more like the pak thor days hee..hee..
DeleteHahaha...same thing here, no special happening for Valentines Day. Some more I have to cook dinner. No romantic candle lit dinner. This is how romantic we are. Lol! Poor Belle, I guess she is disappointed her boyfriend didn't show up. Love the look of your nasi ulam and the dessert. I think I will go get some dessert tomorrow.
ReplyDeletehah..hah..hah... looks like many ladies have the same predicament as us! Anyway, with such high number of Covid-19 infections, best to stay home and watch TV!
DeleteYay, Belle Belle knows how to sleep on the cushions now. Ya, every weekend is valentine's day for you and your partner. So romantic! We don't celebrate it either. Everyday is valentine's day when we get to spend it with our loved ones. All your food looks good, especially the kimchi meal. Hhhmmm, wonder should I buy a kimchi meal soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are right! Everyday is Valentine's Day when spent with loved ones. My two girls are also my Valentine's LOL!
DeleteNot only Valentine's Day, even birthday or anniversary days (there are so many anniversaries, LOL) hubby & I don't normally have big celebration. Sometimes we just dine out, buy a small cake or even treat it as a normal day on that "special" day, LOL
ReplyDeleteSame same! Ever since I grew up, nothing is special LOL!
