Fish & Pasta

On Sunday I discovered that I could use the Grabfood 50% Hotdeals again. Yay! So apa lagi? Order! Order!

Pizza sebijik!

All eaten while seated at the sofa watching Ozark on Netflix. I almost choked on my pizza at the ending of Season 3. Won't say why so that there are no spoilers for people who have yet to watch.

Hotdeals punya pasal, I am not food prepping for lunch. Today I had the Chili Lime Fish Pasta.

I had to add something to bump up the price to above RM25 to qualify for the RM12.50 discount.

This box contains tilapia marinated with cumin, chili, cayenne & black pepper served with garlic kombu butter pasta, steamed vegetables and a green goddess dressing.

The fish was delicious and slightly spicy. The pasta was cooked till al dente, still with a nice firm bite and I thought the garlic kombu butter it was tossed in was really good. I poured the green goddess dressing (loved this dressing!) on the vegetables and it made the veggies so tasty.

This was my extra - edamame with seaweed. Quite nice, a bit different from the usual plain salted edamame. That was a very satiating lunch!

This was Sunday evening's drama. My fatty wanted to go outside after dinner.

She hasn't done this in a long time - whining (meow-O!....meow-O! over and over again) and driving mommy up the wall. I don't understand why she was acting up.

She thinks that she is so clever and that she can open the door herself. Haiz!

  5. I love that Chili Lime Fish Pasta as the colour of the fish is tasty and inviting. Green goddess dressing is new to me. Sounds like your name, the Food Goddess.

I always love pizza but not my wife. So I often had to wait for kawan-kawan to join me.

Cats love to go out at night as it must be cooler. Just like romantic couples, they prefer the night scene outside. Open the door lah Mummy dearest.....

    2. Yup, for their own safety, cannot go out. Inside the house is very good and much safer. 👍

  6. I myself was surprised that I enjoyed the (frozen) tilapia I got from Vfresh too. I too will dust them with strong seasonings like chilli flakes, paprika, cayenne or black pepper before pan-frying.

Well, since you do let your girls out in the afternoon, that should suffice (Cookie gets let out in the afternoons too). It's not good to coup and confine them in the house all the time as they need to roam (freely like a wild cat, it's part of their ancestry) and hone their hunting skills. Yesterday, I saw one of the stray kittens (fed by one of my neighbours) caught a baby rat and was playing with it (not to eat) in my next door's neighbour house. It freaked her out when she came home and found the kitten and the rat which was hiding in her slippers...lol.

    1. My two girls are let out in the morning after their breakfast and they pretty much spend the whole afternoon outside too. When I come home, that's when their curfew starts. LOL! If they had their way, they want the evenings out as well. Yikes! What fright for your neighbor! So far (touch wood) neither of my girls have killed any rats (except a lizard, that was Girl!).
