My Tapau Mood Is On : Die Die Must Eat

That up there is my favorite Ipoh White Coffee. Today I cannot tahan. I miss something. I want to eat it. It's been too long.

I placed my order via Grabfood self-pick up and walked to Annie 1.

I miss the Curry Laksa Supreme!

I requested for hor fun, my favorite noodle.

Poured all the curry gravy.

Wah....it tastes just as good as last time!

So happy!

The order is inclusive of a drink.

I chose the iced Ipoh White Coffee with request for less sugar. So good! But since it is a combo, this drink is quite small. Not enough lah. But there is no option for a separate drink but I guess I can get that if I ordered direct from the restaurant.

Yesterday morning my brother brought me this.

So I had this for brunch. There were two slices of cake, one was meant for my partner but what he does not know, he did not miss kih..kih..kih...

It was from this cake.

Not my birthday obviously. The cake was very nice, though the "onde onde" was very sweet as they were made with sugar and gula Melaka was encased in the sugar shells.

I was so full after finishing the two slices of cake!

  1. I love the food, all look so good. Too bad the cake was too sweet - I may eat cakes and kuihs if not too sweet and must control, I will not eat too much. Coffee...I will drink half a cup, no sugar, first thing in the morning, that is all. I do not enjoy it that much when it is not sweet.

    1. Now that I have been drinking black coffee with no sugar for many years, black coffee with sugar tastes strange to me. LOL!

  3. Hahaha, I guess you ate curry Mee from Annie 1 when I read your comment. Tomorrow u can go dine in at Annie 1 again to drink a large glass of white coffee! Tomorrow can dine in already! Many people are very happy with this news. May everyone follow sop and stay safe when dining out! 🙏That two slices of cake are too little so ok la you eat all. Your partner would not mind at all I believe since he eats healthy.

  4. I just had cheesecake on Tuesday and here I am tempted by cakes again, plus the colours of the cakes (green) made them look so delicious.

    1. I am also attracted to green colored cakes and kueh, as long as they are pandan and not green tea flavor. LOL!

  6. LOL...I think your post title is slightly incorrect...it's not "My tapau mood is on" but "My self pick-up mode is on"! I'm just wondering why you don't go and tapau direct (instead of opting for GrabFood pick-up) since the eateries you order from are nearby (in Uptown itself) coz that way you don't have to pay the extra 30% hike-up in prices. I don't use delivery/pick-up platforms if I can help it. I only use such platforms if the eateries are not nearby or they're notorious for slow preparation...hehe! ;) When I tapau, I just make sure I stand far away from anyone next to me after I order (sometimes I'd even go get other things before coming back to pick-up). So far, from experience, I usually find I'm the only one (sometimes there's one more person) when I tapau (especially if it's off-peak hours). Well, if can save during times like these, I try to save-lah. As for curry laksa, my spouse has been tapau-ing our favourite (actually, 2nd favourite lah) curry from nearby Pandan Jaya. P/S: When it comes to cake, I've a soft spot for pandan-flavoured/coloured ones.

    1. LOL! Ya, ya, I get what you mean, I can easily go and tapau but I like to do the Grab self-pick up because it is convenient. I don't have to talk to the staff and wait. By the time I walk there, the food is ready and I can pick up immediately. But you are right lah, I should just do a normal tapau since Annie 1's ordering is easy. Just fill up the order chit, pay and wait a while. Me too, I love any kind of pandan flavored cakes!

  7. *high five* I also prefer hor fun with my curry rather than beehoon or yellow noodles.

    1. High five phiak! Good, good. Usually people like yellow mee or meehoon or they combine both. I have tried it but hor fun is still the best!

  8. Argh... I miss Annie 1 Wonton Mee! Let's see until when I can tahan the craving, LOL
I like everything with Gula Melaka, so I can help you to finish the cake if it's too sweet for you, hehe ^__*

  9. The Ipoh White Coffee look so nice. We miss our coffee from our regular coffee shop, haven't been there since lockdown. I really miss kopi ice so much. Curry Laksa Supreme looks delicious and hor fun is also my favourite noodle. Onde onde cake sounds yummy.

Was that soupy noodle? I didn't see the cockles which normally is one of the condiments for curry laksa, did you omitted it?

    1. Annie 1's Curry Laksa don't have cockles as far as I remember.
