In The Mood For Love

That would be Belle Belle. Last weekend she was all lovey dovey with me and my partner.

We were watching our Korean serial (hah..hah..) when Belle Belle jumped onto the sofa and started rubbing herself against me. Then she climbed onto my lap and made her way to daddy.

And she stamped her claw mark on daddy. Ouch! Poor daddy. Then she started head butting daddy's arm and gave him a few gentle bites. That scared daddy a bit hah..hah.. he is not used to it.

Then she moved back to mommy and did the same thing. This is the first time that Belle Belle has shown us "affection" and we were quite amused by her behavior.

The next day daddy snapped a photo of the damage. Five puncture wounds.

So I sent him this.

All was forgiven.

This was my dinner Sunday evening.

Oh...oh...

No Belle. Cannot.

This is also the first time she is begging for food. Thank goodness Girl was upstairs or else I would have to deal with two kitties wanting to eat my food.

Then it was lepak-lepak time for mommy and Belle Belle decided to keep me company.

I was watching Grey's Anatomy. Yeah old show but I only managed season 1 and 2 in the past.

Belle Belle seems contented to sit with me.

But eventually she got bored.

For the past two days she insisted on staying inside even though mommy is back to work. So I let her be. Jaga rumah.

  2. Oh, Belle Belle is so sweet! She is a manja cat now. Can trim her nails so it is not so sharp. Soon she will be making biscuits on your lap and be a lap cat. Good good she jaga rumah so Girl went out lepak and Belle Belle seorang sahaja jaga rumah? Did you let Belle Belle smell your food when she begs for it?

  6. Oh dear, poor daddy. As you said, all is forgiven as we can't really put the blame on the cat. If we allow the cat to walk over us, they tend to dig in their claws when confronted with something soft (like our bared body parts, at least you had a sarong on...lol, or a pillow which I'm sure you've witnessed) and they wouldn't know that their action of kneading will cause us harm. Unless you have a cat that get's her nails clipped periodically, then it would be in out best interest to avoid such situations. That's why I only encourage heat butts and the rubbing of my body with his head and not when he puts out his palms towards me (I retreat!) coz he doesn't know his claws are sharp. Even if we're mad, we can't stay angry at cats for long especially when they give us that look...the look that God gave them to flaunt and make us all jelly....hah..hah! :D

  7. I was told that cats sometimes miss their mothers and start to manja their new mummies. After a while, they would be snobbish and disappear again. I always hear naughty jokes about kampung ladies who took afternoon naps and their cats went inside their sarongs. The ladies had a good time and the rest of the story is censored la. LOLOL

I have lost count of being scratched and bitten by all my sister's cats!! That one is safe but I got bitten by stray dogs several times when I was a kid. My dad had to send me to hospital for rabies jabs!!! Muahahahaha

  8. Cats really do have sharp claws. A couple of years back, a cat scratched my dad. I think he was too close to her kittens. Left a scratch deep enough to require stitches. Looks like you don't need a guard dog when you have your own feline body guard!

    1. Oh yes, they are as sharp as knives! Well, I won't put too much hope on my two kitties guarding me as they tend to scram when they sense danger. Now I appreciate the term "scaredy cat" a lot more. LOL!

  10. I think I forgot to click to publish my comment yesterday. I think it could be Belle way of showing love and didn't mean to hurt her daddy. Belle is responding to your care and love and beginning to enjoy your company. Belle has a beautiful fur coat.

    1. Thanks for leaving another comment. I think so too that Belle is more trusting now and feels safe with us. That's why she came and manja2 on the sofa. I agree that she has a lovely coat. She is all soft and furry.
