Sunday Food Prep : No Time To Talk

Now that I am back to work, I have started food prepping again. So last Sunday it was busy, busy, busy.

Not only was I food prepping for the week ahead, I was also cooking a little something for lunch.

I fried sweet potato leaves with sambal and dried prawns.

This was for lunch.

I defrosted these lamb chops that have been in the freezer for quite some time.

Simply seasoned with salt and pepper and pan fried.

They turned out all right except they were a bit gamey  as lamb always is.

So this was lunch - the fried sweet potato leaves, lamb chop and (frozen) mee goreng.

Funny combination but it was nice all the same. There were extras for dinner.

After lunch I roasted these chicken chops (got these from the TTDI market deboned).

I threw in some capsicum when roasting the chicken.

This is what I am having for lunch this week.

Oh, I also boiled a big pot of soup for my weekday dinner.

OK, gotta go!

  6. Wah,I see you are on a roll now, back to full cooking and food prep. So very busy. Thanks for sparing a bit of time to say hi to us here. The lamb I found out, if u cut out all the lamb fatty bits and only eat the lamb lean meat, it will taste very less gamey. Enjoy your busy days! Busy means got $$$ so is all good, right?

  11. I like your lunch combination and I am feeling hungry now. Yesterday I cleared my sweet potato leaves patch and will be growing a new batch again. I avoid cooking lamb chop because I tend to overcook it. Your roasted chicken chop and soup look beautiful and delicious.

    1. I thought of planting the sweet potato leaves and I think I shall attempt it. It would be nice to harvest fresh sweet potato leaves from my garden as I love this vegetable very much.

  13. Love the look of those greens but I have a guilty confession - I've been eating mostly vegan recently but the sight of that chicken has given me a craving. I guess it's all about balance in the end.

    1. Ah, I have been wanting to try vegan dishes that I see on your site (since they look rather delicious and is good for health) but I have yet to do so. That is my guilty confession! LOL!
