Covid-19 MCO : Day #11 (Fried Meehoon)

Today is Saturday and it doesn't feel like Saturday because the last few days have been Saturday hah..hah...

Earlier today I felt so blah. Don't know why. I felt sluggish and no semangat at all. I was a little drowsy and I lay down on my sofa and closed my eyes.

In fact I dozed off accompanied by my cat who was having her snooze on the other sofa. I am feeling all good now.

These days she loves to perch herself on the armrest of the sofa.

When I am working on my computer upstairs, she is content to chill out outside. She does not like to stay in my study room and will annoy me by clawing the cables.

Today I cooked fried meehoon. Easy peasy.

My auntie contacted me via whatsapp today to show me her dinner.

Nyum!! New Zealand is in lockdown and my auntie is doing all right. Come, let me share photos of her roses which she sent me last year.

Pink beauty! Oops...you can see my auntie's foot hee..hee..hee...

See how they bloom in a cluster like this. So nice!

Gorgeous!

I just read that the MCO will be tightened and several roads in Petaling Jaya will be closed to facilitate stricter enforcement.

I have to get my groceries tomorrow and it will do me well to buy a bit more so that I can avoid having to make a grocery run again. I don't know how the situation will be at the supermarket and I really dread the crowd.

  1. You don't drive right? How to go out alone to do groceries unless you two go out together. I don't drive and I don't want to break the law so I can't go out to buy groceries! So Sad!!! Girl Girl is a good girl to not bite your cables.

  3. Yes, do keep some stock. Some shops are slow to replenish their stocks due to delivery problems, traffic jams etc. Some grocery stores are limiting the amount of people going in at one time, resulting in long queues so I had to go early and queue up 15 minutes before the shop opens. Nowdays I had to use online shopping for non perishable groceries because it's inconvenient to go shopping.

Take care - keep your immune system strong, keep calm, stay healthy and strong -physically, mentally & emotionally.

  5. Oh? She's your auntie? The one I met when I went to Auckland many years ago?
I bought a lot of bihun before the lockdown - so far, my girl fried some that day - the rest still sitting there, waiting.

  6. I too dread queuing up to enter the grocery shop and also at the payment counter. At one mini mart, someone is there to take the customer's temperature and then spray sanitizer on our palms. It is good they are practicing social distancing by limiting the number of customers inside.

  7. Buy a lot and stock up on food, no need to go out so often. You are putting yourself at risk. "sluggish...no semangat at all...a little drowsy" You think you need to go for the test?

  8. Ah Girl is enjoying the time out the most....snoozing all day long in the comfort of her home. So, I'm assuming you'll be blogging daily of what you eat until MCO Day #28? Bring it on...at least we got something to read to pass our time. Hehe...only 17 days to go! O_o

    1. Yes, since I have time to blog everyday hee..hee... Ah Girl is still very much an outdoor cat. In the afternoons she still prefers to have her snooze outside at the car porch, which is pretty much her routine when I am away at work. But in the evenings, I keep her inside and she does so with minimal protest.

  9. I have lost track of the days. Everyday is Sunday to me. I met the TV run whole day whether got ghost or myself watching. The sound keeps the house alive otherwise I will sink into depression easily. Eat sleep and eat sleep like your cat is not healthy for me. Funny thing is that my weight went down.

Hey your aunty has the same feet as you and loves to wear selipar Jepun!! I remember your Ritz Carlton wedding dinner where you bravely wore selipar inside. Damn brave aunty.

I like her flowers in NZ. When will I ever visit this country?

    3. TM : hah..hah.. you still remember my selipar Jepun! You know, I also lost some weight. I expected to put on. Maybe it's because I have been active gardening and doing housekeeping instead of sitting whole day at my desk.

  10. Wow! Gorgeous roses! We need some of these to pass time and nowadays got a lot of funny videos about covid 19 circulating in watsapp to keep us sane. I feel so depressed cos cannot go ktv. Even those ktv booths where you can sing inside alone also cease operation.

  11. the MCO will definitely push all of us through emotional highs and lows. for our house-bound cats who are under constant MCO, we can now empathise with them - no wonder they're clawing on the computer cables for something to do! :D
