After my first visit, I have been back for more. Oh, this happened last year.
On the following visit, I tried the Wingettes and Drumettes, large (12 pieces) with Swicy (sweet and spicy) flavor.
I'm afraid I did not like the Swicy as I found it too cloyingly sweet. So I will steer clear of this flavor in future.
I have wanted to try the Boneless Chicken Thigh which comes in a big serving. You can have this original or flavored. So I went with half and half, meaning you can choose two flavors.
You get three sides with this. Two coleslaw and one pickled radish.
I chose the Freaking Hot (my favorite) and Bulgogi.
The Freaking Hot was as enjoyable as before. So so hot!
The Bulgogi was mild and very tasty. I liked it a lot.
Of course I couldn't finish everything in one sitting. So the balance was stored in the fridge.
Honestly, I prefer bone-in chicken. Though the boneless thighs were easy to eat, somehow I find bone-in chicken more appealing. So I guess I won't be getting these again.
what a coincidence! I wrote about Nene chicken today too. I didn't buy the option with sides, just boneless with the new garlic flavour. surprisingly I quite like it. Maybe one day I will try the freaking hot boneless option but I think I can only tahan eat one piece since it is very hot.
ReplyDeletehee..hee... If you cannot tahan hot, you better share the freakin hot flavor. It is really very hot!
DeleteOh, I haven't tried these nene chicken before... I prefer chicken wings when it comes to fried.. yummssss.. now I feel like having some!
ReplyDeleteI like wings too, like more sedap compared to the meaty parts.
DeleteLOLOL. Today got 2 Nene posts! Muahahahaha
ReplyDeleteMy wife & friends didn;t like their food the other day but I must go and try the chicken myself. Soon!
The last time I went, the chicken they served me was not freshly fried. I believe it was prepared in advance or someone had abandoned their order and they passed it on to me so as not to waste. Quite disappointed.

DeleteThe leftover can be your meal prep poke bowl ingredients :)
ReplyDeleteQuite true!
DeleteOh? Mun blogged about this today too!
ReplyDeleteYes! Now I want to try the garlic flavor. LOL!
Deletenene is one of the k-chicken brands that i haven't tried yet - since i'm not good with heat, i should go for the bulgogi! :D
ReplyDeleteThe bulgogi is good. Highly recommended!
DeleteNene chicken sounds interesting, especially when you can have mixed flavours.
ReplyDeleteThey allow mixed flavors for chicken pieces only if the numbers are even.
DeleteI haven't tried them myself but saw few friends who had.
ReplyDeleteSure look interesting to try one day. :)
It's quite good. Boleh cuba!
DeleteIt is funny to have your wings and drumlets sweet, so I won't like it too. I am interested to try the bulgogi flavour and the garlic flavour in Mun's blog.
ReplyDeleteToo sweet not nice at all. I will be trying the garlic flavor soon.
DeleteI haven't try their chicken yet. Opened few outlets here but I haven't visir it. Hubby not so keen on such outlet and I am not sure my kids would enjoy it. Lol. I am just curious to taste it especially the spicy flavour.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day you can tapau and try it.
