I have lots of pasta in my pantry and I have been cooking them local style. They are quite versatile and as I understand it, the noodles used in Laksa Johor is spaghetti.

Pumpkin Rice

I remember cooking this one pot savory rice way back in 2014 after I was discharged from the hospital. It's one of my favorite dishes as it is not only easy to cook but really so delicious it makes for a very satisfying meal.

Roasted Asparagus is Delicious

You know, I hardly have the chance to eat asparagus because it is so pricey. At the restaurant, forget it. At the supermarket, forget it. I can't even remember the last time I had asparagus. I know they are awesome stir fried with prawns or sambal belacan.

Egg Yolk Pie

Last month was mooncake season and every year my partner would take me to buy mooncakes. And every year I find choosing mooncakes as gifts to be a headachy affair.

Soups Up!

Sometimes when I buy vegetables to cook a dish, I end up with leftovers. I had leeks leftover from my partner's food prep, sweet potatoes from cooking dad's porridge, potatoes from a yet-to-be-baked Shepard's pie (hah!), pumpkin from cooking pumpkin rice and kale/cauliflower/chickpeas from a recent salad.
