Today I ordered some vegetables via Grabmart from the TTDI market. Among my orders was a packet of lady's fingers. It was a very small packet and had I known, I would have bought two.
Again, I used my ready made sambal and the LKK Shrimp Sauce. It turned out quite nice. I still have quite a bit of the shrimp sauce and I will be using it from time to time.
Last night while watching Narcos Mexico, I got a little peckish.
So I had a little snack of peanut butter and celery. Have you tried this? I heard about it from my auntie (her son likes it) and I have seen it on Youtube.
So I gave it a go and I loved it! I won't say that it is a healthy snack (peanut butter is very high in calories) but it is still better than potato chips.
Belle Belle made herself very comfy on the armchair.
But she had her eyes open when I approached.
She still hangs out on the shoe rack, the place where she used to sleep when I kept her outside.
I found some (unflattering) photos of my failed pizza from the other day.
The first one was very burnt.
The second one was slightly better.
Both had to be folded and eaten like tostadas.
I am wondering what to cook tomorrow? Or shall I finally Grabfood?
That looks like quite a lot of ladies' fingers. Not enough?
ReplyDeleteAmazing Grace, I mean...Amazing Graze peanut butter. Never had it with celery, not really into celery so we seldom buy it.
Only a small bowl, not enough LOL!
DeleteI absolutely love celery with peanut butter. If you were to put raisins on it, then it'll be known as Ants on a Log, a childhood fave of many in the States. I like it w/o the raisins tho, kinda grew out of raisins after having too much when i was a kid. Glad to hear there are others who like the combo as none in my family nor friend circle lives them and look at me weird when i have or crave for it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that! I am not a fan of raisins, so I'll stick to just the peanut butter :)
DeleteDelicious lady's finger with sambal and shrimp sauce. Celery with peanut butter is new to me. I would love to try one day. Belle is a light sleeper, can open her eyes at the slightest sound.
ReplyDeleteCats are very alert. Very hard for me to sneak up on them to take photos even when they are asleep. LOL!
DeleteLadies fingers with belacan...yes to that! Celery with peanut butter together I've neither heard nor tried but I don't think I'll like it coz I don't like raw celery and I never buy peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteBelle is curled up like a ball. I see she's enjoy her sofa time (extra lepak time after dinner before she goes into her cage?)....hee..hee! ;)
Belle wishes that she need not go into the cage. LOL! I have to carry her into the cage but she does not protest.
DeleteI have used grabmart to buy things from ttdi market just because none of the markets near me on grabmart have lobak putih. How weird. That onion ring on top of your ladies fingers look like sotong ring. Your pizza looks tasty despite not being pretty. I will still eat your pizza wrapped in rainbow bread to give it more dough. Belle Belle looks so sweet sleeping on that armchair.
ReplyDeleteBelle Belle always looks very sweet and cute when she is asleep. Sometimes I just look at her and feel my heart melting!
DeleteI like to eat raw celery and I like to eat peanut butter. So I am ok to eat them together but I don't see the point of doing so for myself as I love the raw green taste of celery on its own a lot and I love to eat lots of doughy bread with peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteNever try celery stick with peanut butter. My man has sudden craze for peanut butter toast lately. Must have a piece every night before sleep. Lol. A post on peanut butter is coming up in my blog soon. 😉
ReplyDeleteAh! Your man is another peanut butter fan! LOL!
Deletei prefer eating peanut butter as it is....coz it is already so 'sedap' on its own...As for celery, i would just leave it for the soup :-) Ah Belle looks adorable when curled up for sleep.
ReplyDeleteI used to think that peanut butter + celery = weird but now I love it!
DeleteTry planting your own Okra, PH! hahahaa.. now I can talk big cos that is the first edible plant which is successful! hahahaa... Now I have 7 pots of them. The peanut butter with celery looks like a funny combination and I am imagining the taste now... and my taste buds is telling me that it will taste crunchy and yummy! LOL....
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I read your post on your home grown okra! Well done :) Yes, you are right the taste of celery and peanut butter is crunchy and yummy! LOL!
DeleteWhat??? You didn't order via GrabTM again? Next time you will receive rotten Okra with worms in other veggies. Bwahahahahaha I am kidding cruel jokes. Jangan marah ya.
ReplyDeleteHear that? Claire asks you to plant your own Okra!! She has 7 pots and that is convincing me too. The insects won't attack this plant because of its tiny hairs. So safe!
I am shocked to hear celery and peanut butter. My stomach might turn. I prefer celery with mayo or any salad sauce.
Like that GrabTM mana boleh laku? LOL!!
DeleteLet me try to get the okra seeds first.
You try lah. Celery + peanut butter = sedap!
I would say celery + peanut butter is quite a good combo because you have fiber, Vitamin C & good oil, hehe. Have you heard of Jobbie PB? You can have a try if you're a peanut butter lover because many of my friend and my sis are fans of this PB (me not included because I seldom eat PB).
ReplyDeleteI have seen this Jobbie PB sold at Avocadian. I will try it once my current supply is low. LOL!
