My lazy Sunday became my lazy week as I have not updated my blog since. I didn't sign in until today and the reason I did so was because I was so bored at the office. Terrible, eh? Tsk! Tsk!
Anyway, last Saturday, my brother and I revisited Kadei by Manchula. It was a great respite for me after eating this.
My brother opted for Ayam Kampung Biryani.
We ordered two side dishes.
My brother had two drinks, Nescafe Ais and Milo Ais, while I had Limau Ais. The Milo ais was an error. The server mistook my order but my brother decided to take it. That was a great lunch.
During MCO 2.0, certain days I did my lunch prep. Nowadays I like buying the ready to eat coleslaw mix. So convenient.
Unfortunately this is the last stash of kimchi jigae in the freezer. I need to make kimchi first before I can replenish my kimchi jigae supply.
It is ironic that even though dining out is allowed now, I'm still taking food from home. But that will change once I get sick of my own cooking, which I am sure is bound to happen.
I do eat out/order in on Fridays (Grabfood/AirAsiaFood) and Saturdays (date nite with my lahling). Last Saturday's date nite at 1 Utama was a bit of a nightmare because the crowds came back with a vengeance. So many people just like the pre-pandemic days. Scary!
Restaurants were packed with some not accepting dine-in customers past 7:15pm (Goodness Greens and Isetan Eat Paradise). We were so frustrated but we managed to dine at Pho Vietz. No photos because madam was quite frazzled.
Both your two si8de orders look so good! I would love the quail eggs, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteBoth were wonderful. The food at this restaurant is good.
DeleteI dont mind banana leaf once in a while. No kimchi for me though. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteNo kimchi, no problem. LOL!
Deletewah banana leaf rice!!! i want!!!! people has been confined at home for too long ardi...so everyone wants to dine out/lepak/jalan-jalan....I have only been to office once...not yet to the shopping mall coz i expect it will be crowded...more so when MCO is over...These days i also felt bored (when working), so-out-of-focus...would do blog hopping here & there...
ReplyDeleteEverything looks like back to normal like everyone forgets that the pandemic is not over yet. Oh, so I am not the only one who is bored. LOL!
DeleteEach time I see you make kimchi stew, I'm reminded of your bowl...and still contemplating if I should get one (not to eat kimchi stew, of course). I think it's too costly (almost RM40) just for a bowl to eat soup noodles. >_< P/S: The abundance of chicken in that first salad photo is more like a chicken meal with some salad leaves than a chicken salad...lol!
ReplyDeleteAh, perhaps you should abandon the idea of buying that bowl. I bought it just because of the Korean sentiment though I use it for other soups as well. Your other bowls will serve you just as well! That chicken salad came about due to leftover chicken from Seng Kee chicken rice hee..hee..
DeleteLooks like you are enjoying your meals dining out except for that date night evening. Very good. After vaccination, life should be back to before.
ReplyDeleteHope so too. This pandemic has been going on for far too long :(
DeleteOh my! I am drooling over your quail egg sambal and mutton varuval! Your roast chicken thighs also very mouth-watering. I can't wait till dinner time. Will be dining out with friends, hopefully the restaurant will not be over crowded.
ReplyDeleteThese days have to be super early to dine out. I am very scared already hah..hah..
DeleteYou even got the Korean stoneware for your kimchi Jiggae, good!
ReplyDeleteThe roasted asparagus I initially thought was your blanched veggie for your salad as it didn't look like being air fried. :P
It makes kimchi jigae experience more real hah..hah...
