Shopping Again

Now, when was the last time I went on a shopping spree? Ah, that was back in January where I went looking for new pants and blouses.

Well, this time it was more of a window shopping cum mall exercise thingy and a dismal ayam penyet lunch. Before lunch, I did my walkabout at Parkson, reason being I wanted to redeem my RM30.00 vouchers which I got when I bought 4 pairs of trousers for my dad.

I thought of getting maybe a blouse or two and spotted two nice ones. I took the two blouses to the fitting room (one was XL and another L) and guess what?

No lah... they were too big for me. Wahseh!! I think the cutting is big and that's why I was swimming in it, not because I am thin, OK?

So how am I going to redeem my vouchers if I have no blouses to buy? Ah! Yes! Go to the household section and see if I can get those glasslock containers. I got me a big one, after discount and setting off against the vouchers, I paid only RM36.00 for it (original price RM86+). These glasslock containers are expensive.

Then I headed to Aeon supermarket to test my willpower. Hah!

Ooohhh....my weakness. Bread and buns!

Loads of them. Mmmm.....take a deeeeepp breath....

Croissants!

Pastries and puffs! And then I moved on.

These packed meals looked a lot better than the ones I saw a few evenings ago.

I used to go crazy over these.

You won't go hungry here, you just need money.

There are simply too many choices and too many temptations.

Yes, I did buy something eventually. Show you later, ya.

Then I walked out of there to MPH. They used to occupy two floors but have downsized to one. I think they are more focused on their online business as the outlet does not stock as many books as they used to.

As I was browsing the magazines section, I was reminded of how I used to love magazines in my teenage years. I don't buy them anymore.

Gee...we now have our Malaysian edition of Cosmopolitan, the kosher version of course though one of the headlining item indicates otherwise hee...hee....

I used to love these gossipy magazines.

Then I came to the realization that magazines are so expensive these days. The foreign ones, our local magazines are still quite affordable.

In fact I am not willing to spend on my favorite comic. This one.

Nope, it's not cheap in Malaysia :( I did not spend much on this shopping trip. Perhaps I should wait for the Hari Raya sales!

  1. Ya, overseas magazines are so expensive!

Running magazines from US or UK cost more than RM30.00 here. Gasp

  2. I agree. We wouldn't go hungry going to supermarket with choices of packed food and pastries. Just need money!

Used to buy Australian Women Weekly magazine but no more. That's the only overseas magazine I ever bought. All are local but I hardly bought any nowadays. Even local magazine after send over to EM, it is expensive. I resorted to buy second-hand magazines now. I used to buy those expired magazines for RM1 or RM2 in pasar malam many years ago.

  3. Ya, we have similar packed meals in the Aeon near me...but yours look a lot nicer. Your pastry section also looks better presented than the one here. I resort to buying the bento boxes when I don't cook but, lately, I don't know who's tasked to fry the eggs...they're so overcooked that if you throw them against the wall, they'll stay intact! O_o

  10. I love those packed meals and sushi, ya, overseas magazines are very expensive, I used to buy magazines in Malaysia as they are cheaper due to the exchange rate, I found out when I once transit in Japan airport that they openly sell those R-rated magazines in public, not shy at all

  12. Aeon food section is a dangerous place for me too, always feel like buying everything when strolling around >_<
I don't like MPH to be honest as most of the books are wrapped and it's hard to check out the content before buying =.="
