My Kitchen Horror Story

Yeah, this is about my diabolical steamed chicken. It happened at home a few years ago. I was alone and I had just put a whole chicken into the steamer.

I was in the dining room when I heard a loud scary sound. I jumped. I watch a lot of horror movies and things like that make me think of those ghoulish things that can happen even before the sun sets. Hah!

I steadied my heart and stepped into the kitchen. I looked at the steamer.

Peekaboo!
The chicken was trying to get out.

Then I opened the cover.

Waaarrrgghhhh!!!!! Is that a sight or what??

So....

  2. Eeeeeee...Ghost Chicken!!!! Now why didn't you chop off all the nails? I would chop off the feet and throw them away - nobody eats those claws in the house.

  4. Hi Phong Hong, when steam the chicken either chop off the feet or insert the feet inside the chicken stomach, this way the chicken will not kick the kuali cover. and also trim off the nail. Wah, if 7th month sure get heart palpitation. :))

    Best regards,
    Amelia

  12. That's worse than a horror story! OMG, those claws are really scary...and the nails are really disgusting! O_o I always ask the chicken seller to chop off the feet and trim the nails. I usually use it to boil soup only since it can't really be eaten.

Luckily I never steam the whole chicken with claws some more. Too big for any of my pots. Lol.
