Update : Laksaamana has closed down.
A new laksa joint opened in Damansara Uptown. It that a yay! or what? Of course I was delighted. I love laksa but unfortunately Terengganu Laksa is not in the menu heh..heh..

If you come up the escalator from Jaya Grocer, it's on your left.
Currently there are 5 laksa varieties in the lineup. And right now there is a dinner promotion.
A bowl of laksa or a plate of their rice platter, one snack and a drink for RM12.90. So I paid a visit one evening.
It's a small and neat cosy place, occupying half a shoplot. It was early evening and the dinner crowd had yet to arrive.
I had the Curry Laksa, Seafood Tofu and Barley Lime. That made for a hearty dinner. A very good deal at RM12.90.
What I liked about the Barley Lime was that it was barely sweet, just the way I like it.
Very refreshing, this.
The Seafood Tofu was quite delightful, bouncy and smooth. Very nice eaten with the sweet chili sauce.
The Curry Laksa. Very lemak. It was good. But a bit difficult to eat the bony chicken parts.
I'll be back for sure. I am rather curious about their Dry Spicy Laksa touted to be "Malaysia's first and only dry laksa for those who like it hot". Sounds very tempting indeed!
We have fried laksa here in Kuching.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could try that!
DeleteI will go for the seafood tofu
ReplyDeleteIt was very nice.
DeleteUnfortunately, they can't claim to be the first and only dry laksa! I've been eating dry laksa from a shop in Imbi that's been around for at least two decades...lol! :D
ReplyDeleteOh, this is the same pop-up stall in Soloris Dutamas which eatdrinkkl visited in 2015 and now they've their own shop...kudos to them. We're fans of curry laksa but sadly we won't get to try since they don't open on Sundays :'(
Ah, I wonder how that claim came about. I read about them on eatdrinkkl too!
DeleteThe name and logo rings a bell. I think there is a foodtruck with the same name operating outside the CIMB bank daily near my home. I will go back today and take a second look to confirm. If the same, then I will try the Dry Spicy Laksa at the foodtruck or stalk you at Uptown's outlet. Heh heh heh
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend
I want to try all the laksa hee..hee..
DeleteThe dinner deal is value for money! Can't wait to hear your review about its dry laksa. Something like spicy kon lou mee?
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know hee..hee..
DeleteWHAT??? No Sarawak laksa either? I don;t like the place either. Ummmm...what is Terengganu laksa? Is it laksam? Name already Laksaam...and they do not serve that. Tsk! Tsk! I like that and my girl loves it!
ReplyDeleteTerengganu laksa has red gravy. Very nice, I have not had it for a long, long time.
DeleteI love laksa too especially the Penang laksa. Never heard of the dry laksa. Next time when you pay a visit and eat that dry spicy laksa, don't forget to blog about it ^_^

ReplyDeleteYeah, so cheap when converted to SGD :)
DeleteI wonder what marriage of flavours are in the Royal Laksa.
ReplyDeleteIt is rather strange to me and I have to taste it to find out :)
DeleteSalivating over here as I scrolled... The set sounds reasonable too.. good choice!
ReplyDeleteHope they have it for the next few weeks hee.hee..
DeleteCute name. Hahahah

DeleteThe Royal laksa sounds interesting. Actually, the word "laksa" will wake me up!
ReplyDeleteMe too hah..hah...
DeleteI can see those curry broth are very thick in consistency~
ReplyDeleteBtw, this restaurant not is Starling right? The facade of the shop looks like shoplot at DU but you said it's on left side of Jaya Grocer @_@
I said "if you come up the escalator from Jaya Grocer, it's on your left". Meaning you take the escalator from Jaya Grocer up to the shophouses outside :)
