Fish Head Noodles


I never really appreciated fish head until I had the fish head noodles at Mr Fish. Sure they are hard to tackle especially when you are eating out. 

But I have gotten used to it and I get down and dirty with my fingers. So I make sure I bring with me some wet wipes to clean my fingers afterwards.

This is the Grouper Fish Head Curry Laksa. It was divine. Most divine!


The curry laksa had some awesome flavors going and the fish head was fresh and meaty. I enjoyed my lunch tremendously.

Then on another day it was grouper fish head again but with Tom Yum.


The soup was super extra spicy hot that day. Currently there is a lunch promotion where you get a free drink.

 But it is limited to just Pandan Lemongrass which I find very refreshing

As I was digging into the noodles, I found those pesky small red chilies.


I fished out two pieces of the booby traps.


This tom yum soup is power I tell you. Spicy hot and so tangy. I kept sipping the soup.


But I think I prefer the curry laksa. 


I kept on eating and sipping and eating and sipping.


Mmmmm......all done. Burp!

    i like to eat mr. fish fish noodles too but only clear broth for me. their milky broth is nice too. have you tried their milky broth fish head noodle?

      No, I have not tried the milky broth. I am scared I might not like it.

    Phong Hong, I am drooling over the fish head noodles. Every bowl looks so delicious. Too bad, we don't have Mr Fish here in Ipoh.

    Wowwwwwww!!!! How much were those? They look so good. My missus would love those cili padi, would get a lot of that at Thai restaurants. They have it in every dish.

    Inlove fish head curry but have not try fish head curry laksa. Not sure could find in Kuching. Hahaha.

    I really love to eat Fish Head noodles until became good friends with that famous Woo Pin Restaurant's boss. My wife often shook her head watching me eat all the fish meat with 1001 bones, so patiently. LOLOL

    I want to try this curry laksa as I trust your taste.

    Omai look extremely delicious nyam nyam...

    Never ate grouper head but I'm sure the meal is super sedap looking at your empty bowl :D

    I love just about any fish, so I won't have any problems with fish head or fish bones...but unfortunately my family doesn't share the same sentiment. They won't tackle any fish with bones :( I'd love to have your fish head curry laksa but don't know when I will have the chance to try.

      You can take your family to Mr Fish and they can choose the fish fillet while you enjoy the fish head! The other day I got a fish eyeball in my soup hee..hee..

    I never eat fish head curry laksa, but i do eat kari kepala ikan sometimes.
