Chinese New Year At The Starling

The Chinese New Year decorations at The Starling this year is err... underwhelming.

Just like that.

Simple simple.

A teddy bear on a bench.

The mall management probably decided that there is not much point in spending so much money on decorations. Just keep things tight and fuss free.

The space vacated by Truly Wine will be occupied soon. I hope it is a nice restaurant.

I hope they actually serve this. Oooopppsss!!! Behave madam! Behave!

Then I went to look at Chinese New Year decorations as SSF and a few other places.

All the red lanterns are up for sale.

My family have never decorated the house with these things.

Horse cushions.

Fish too.

Money trees. We Chinese are obsessed with these things and some people mistakenly think that we are greedy.

Then I went to look at cute soft toys.

These are so cute.

These waving cats are often see at the cashier counter at shops.

Cat pillow.

These things make me smile.

I went to visit my hairdresser for a haircut. She told me before I left, remember, you must be happy and you must love yourself. Life is short. I agree.
