Lunch.
Then for an early dinner I had some rice, pork belly, omelette, sauerkraut and kimchi. I ate rice although I am on a carnivore reset because I cooked the rice myself and it was reheated from frozen (the cooling of rice after cooking creates resistant starch).
I ate while watching Skyscraper on Netflix. It was a heart-stopping event (live streamed earlier that day) where Alex Honnold scaled Taipei 101 free solo style with no ropes or equipment. To say that it was an amazing feat is an understatement.
I closed my eating window at 4:20pm.
Monday as usual I went to buy lunch for mum. I passed through The Starling's "secret garden" where the Frangipanis were flowering like mad. There were clusters and clusters of blooms.
Then it was time to break my fast. I went to Halla Holla and got the Sandwich of the Day - Avocado Sourdough. I added coffee at RM6.00 and requested for no cookie.
I avoided Latte because I did not want an insulin spike (from the milk). During a fast, insulin level drops and when breaking a fast, it will rise and we don't want it to rise too fast and too high.
What about bread you ask? Well, I ate the scrambled eggs and avocado (which were delicious!). I also ate the salad (but avoided the cranberries). I brought along my container and pulled my latest stunt.
LOL! The Halla Holla boss was sitting right behind me (entertaining his guests) so I had to be very discreet and took this photo back at the office.
I actually felt a lot better not eating the bread. No bloating, no brain fog and I continued to feel bright eyed and bushy tailed throughout the day.
For now, I will not consume bread but will reintroduce them back to my diet (and to be eaten very infrequently) once I complete my reset.
