Is This A Carb Day?

My carnivore reset is going well and as of today it is day 34.

As usual, everyday (Monday to Saturday) I go and pick up lunch for mum. Since I had to go to the pharmacy, I took a shortcut through The Starling. This was when they were getting ready for the festive decorations.

I noticed the tiny lanterns.

At the provision shop, I saw these Chinese New Year snacks.

On my way back to DU, I stopped to smell snap the roses.

I wonder if the residents are aware that their roses bring so much joy to me (and others).

Come lunch time, I went to DiYiTai.

My order - Pork Chop, Bacon Omelette Roll and Lemon Black Tea (request no sugar).

Judging from how pale the omelette roll was, I suspect there was not much egg content, mostly flour. Tsk!

Then I realized that the pork chop is coated with flour. My mistake for not thinking it through. I could have chosen to remove the coating but that would defeat the point of eating this pork chop. Besides, let me admit that the breading was crispy and delicious. Haiz! LOL!

The tea tasted a bit sweet too. Oh dear. Never mind.

Oh, I sneaked my home made sauerkraut into the restaurant.

When I returned to the office, my thoughts became muddled. I couldn't focus. I had 5 jobs on my desk and I couldn't decide which to do first. My thoughts were all over the place. I had to force myself to concentrate.

Lesson learnt. When you experience mental clarity and focus, you will feel the negative effects when you eat something that causes mental fog.

You don't know what it is like to be healthy until you experience what healthy actually is.

  1. Dear friend, the quote speaks truth! And I love the illustration, too! Your flower photos are beautiful! Mostly flour and not much egg sounds disappointing, and I bet it was!

  2. Same here, I also like to look at my neighbour's flowers. The quote is so true, indeed health is wealth. I guess is counted as a carb day because of the floor and sugar.
