My Shopping Spree

So did you go on a holiday before the new year ? Me? I did not go anywhere (as usual) but I had a blast.

Every 4 or 5 years, I go on a major shopping spree. I am usually a kiamsiap auntie. I don't spend money (except on food and cookware). But when I go on a shopping spree, I go on a shopping spree.

First stop. Maybank credit card center at 1-Utama. I wanted to redeem some Aeon shopping vouchers.

The last time I was here, I overheard a customer's conversation with a customer service officer.

You see, this lady is a supplementary card holder and her husband is the principal (but he wasn't there). The good lady wanted to redeem the points but was informed that only the principal card holder is authorized to do so.

"But....but.... I am the one who clocks up all those points!!!", protested the lady. Wahahaha!!

Yeah, it's great to be your own principal card holder. You clock up the points, you sendiri pay. OK, not so great hah..hah... But no, I would not have it any other way.

You can spend as you like (within reason of course) and you won't get a lecture to reign in your spending. Ladies, financial independence is a wonderful thing, don't you agree?

So. Maybank ran out of Aoen vouchers. Bah! I proceeded to Aeon's ladies department and saw some very fierce party dresses.

Nice, eh? But not for me. These are lovely on sweet young things.

It looks like Chinese New Year baju are out already.

Then I saw a range of clothing called Puteri. They have these long blouses which I have seen Malay ladies wearing with tudung, long pants and swanky shoes. Very elegant and chic!

So I took a blouse to try but my infrastructure is not right. It made me look like a tent. Macam itu.....khemah bergerak. So I put it back on the rack. But I managed to get 2 pairs of pants and a blouse. No pictures because they are those regular auntie getup.

Then I went over to Parkson. More lovely dresses but nope, not for me.

I saw something I liked.

Is this what you call Baju Kelawar? Like a bat's wings. But I did not buy because it's quite pricey.  I managed to find another 2 blouses that I liked which were discounted.

Then I went over to Cold Storage and I saw my heart throb.

Hee..hee..hee....

White dinnerware is nice for photography as it reflects light but I already have quite a few.

The Christmas decoration at 1-Utama was still there and soon, they will give way to Chinese New Year deco.

It was time to go home after clocking up loads of credit card points.

  5. I also don't go on shopping sprees often (like you but certainly not 4 - 5 years lah!) but when I do, I buy at least 5 pieces at one go. Of course that "baju kelawar" (as you call it) is expensive...that one designer brand oh! ;) Yeah, white dinnerware is great for photography (and looks elegant too) but can sometimes be boring. >_<

  7. Nice to clock up points and have someone to pay without complaining or nagging. But I still prefer to enjoy my financial independence. I also prefer long blouses but don't look nice on me! Sigh!
