My Horny Adenium

Madam, madam! Look, look! Now what have we here?

I did notice the early stages, these cute little horns.

Adorable, eh? Then as usual I walk past this plant everyday without looking. Distracted by what, I also don't know.

Then one day it became this huge thing. OMG!

So I started paying attention. And guess what?

An itsy bitsy one started growing right next to it.

See it?

It also grew progressively.

Now I have two pairs of horns in my garden.

I've been keeping tabs of the progress.

Latest picture. I guess, pretty soon I will be harvesting seeds.

  1. Horns? Hmmm...I'd be lucky if mine stays alive. Only the wood left after a long time of neglect but I managed to revive it - now there are leaves and flowers are blooming!!! So happy! Plants are like people too - need tender loving care!

This flower is very popular during CNY as many people believe that it brings good Feng Shui and blessings.

  5. Good news: when I try to Google search "Adenium", your blog show up in first page!

So it is just a flower, not edible har? From the pictures, the horn looked like a distant cousin of the okra. :/

    1. That must have been a younger plant. The older ones will produce horns.
