Ayee Southern Thai Fried Chicken, The Starling

Yesterday, I was at the basement of The Starling and I saw that Ayee Southern Thai Fried Chicken has opened for business.

From this.

To this.

It was around 10:00 am+. Still early.

I walked in and snapped some photos.

The specialty here is Thai style fried chicken served with rice, sauces and sides.

Or if you prefer, you can opt for ala carte. There is also a Pulut Wrap Chicken, hmm!

The fried chicken on display looks good.

You can read the origin story here.

I am curious about the fried chicken.

I'll come by one day for lunch.

There were lots of people at lunch time. The space is small with limited seating. So I'll wait until the hype has cooled down.

There is a very good promo from 03-07-2026 to 09-07-2026.

Buy a Box Set and get 1 free bundle.

Sounds good!

Meanwhile at the concourse the theme for the week is Artisanal Pastries & Foodies Coffee Week.

Pastries & coffee is a favorite combo.

There are many participants at this fair.

DJs are performing Friday 03-07-2026.

This fair is until Sunday 05-07-2026.

I took a walk to have a look-see. Lots to eat and drink.

Park's Bagels.

Jiko.

Butter Loaf. They have a product called Butterbeer. I'm quite sure it is non-alcoholic and very sweet.

I'll come over again since I am working this weekend.

Now for some cat logic.

  1. Dear PH, I love the black cat 🐈‍⬛️ quote. I like fried chicken but I am not fond of wraps. I love your photos, dear friend.

    1. I like fried chicken too! And I also like wraps depending on the filling. Thank you for your compliments, Linda!

  2. Chicken rice (Chinese or other styles) are very popular with the masses coz, if done right, it's tasty, filling and very affordable. There's a Malay-style chicken rice in my taman which I eat. It's very tasty (with different style of chicken) and comes in a rather big portion with a sweet/sour chilli sauce (like a Thai-style chilli) that makes everything appetising. As much as I'd like to have it more regularly, I can't because of the sweetish chilli sauce! ^_~

    1. Hmmm...I would think so, I also love chicken rice. Malay style chicken rice is really good and I also love their sweet chili sauce. Ya, wish we could eat that more regularly. Haiz! LOL!
