Tired Of Duck

I used to eat roasted duck like twice or three times a month. That was how much I loved my quack quack.

But since September this year, it was just once a month. I think I am suffering from roast duck fatigue hah..hah... Right now, Twins Signature Roast Duck is on Grab Dine Out and you can get a 25% discount with no minimum spend.

I have yet to try their breakfast menu. Because it is too carby.

They also have Peking Duck on the menu.

The price depends on the portion size ordered and I don't think I will be ordering Peking Duck.

The Kopi C that day was not good - not enough milk and diluted. The duck was tender and juicy but somehow I did not enjoy it like I used to. Duck fatigue. Yup, that must be it. I have to take a duck break. That might help.

Then I went for a walk at The Starling and I stopped outside Seppia & Polpo. The first time I was there was on my 55th birthday. The set lunch menu is not appealing to me but I might come by for other items from the main menu.

Dim Dou Duck also has a lunch set menu which looks pretty good. This is also on my list of visits on carb day.

Truly Wine is also on the lunch set bandwagon. I was there with my brother back in 2018. I feel that Iberico pork is wasted in Bak Kut Teh.

Then I passed by this Backer Shop kiosk.

The lady manning the kiosk was explaining glucose metabolism to the two ladies. You can purchase their sourdough bread online.

Here is some information on sourdough bread.

In my opinion it is not a health food, but rather a healthier alternative to regular bread. But bread is bread, sourdough or not, so it is best to consume sparingly.

Even though I did not eat carbs that day, I still walked and managed to clock up 10K steps. Hooray!

  1. Good morning! I like the firmness in the quote. So true! Dim Dou duck, I laugh at how creative and funny they can get with their restaurant names. Maybe soon you will have beef withdrawal symptoms too. Hah hah. I am having pork and eggs for my lunch intake today (Vietnam food in my neighborhood). I am glad a variety of food choices and Pasar Pagi are close to me (but on the con side is there are too many temptations muahaha). Have a blessed and happy day ahead my friend. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Dear friend, I am sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the duck as much this time. I think we all go through a phase like this every now and then. The quote is great.

  3. Nowadays many places drinks are diluted. It is the shrinkflation.
