Drowning My Sorrows

I know I may sound dramatic (and vindictive) but I burned RM600.00+ on a tomahawk steak that turned out awful due to the way it was served. Hell hath no fury like PH scorned. Hah!

So I had to eat a good (somewhat affordable) steak to kill the bad taste in my mouth.

I went to Red Kettle for their Oyster Blade Steak which has never let me down.

By default the steak is cooked medium rare, it is well seasoned and accompanied by a delicious sauce. Yes, it is better than the steaks at that other place where I wasted my money. I am being snarky and I make no apologies.

An iced Latte to wash it all down. The coffee here is second to none (at Damansara Uptown that is, in my opinion).

To drown one's sorrow, one needs carbohydrates. You will agree, won't you?

Cake!

That was an excellent slice of Carrot Cake, if you happen to like carrot cake. So my displeasure was appeased and all was well hah..hah..hah..

Well, of late there has been a hoohah (on Youtube) over carnivores abandoning the carnivore diet. It is overhyped because not all of them are leaving their way of eating.

As for me, right from the start I was not 100% strict because I did not have to be. Now that I am healthier (largely due to not eating processed food/junk food and consuming more quality proteins and fermented foods) I have added carbs into my diet.

I am now largely keto-carnivore, I eat carbs (in small portions) but not everyday (though I wish I could sigh....) and do not consider carbs the enemy. The enemy is highly processed carbs/sugar and of course yourself, if you are addicted to those junk and overeat.

I eat "better" carbs like non/less starchy vegetables, sourdough bread, rice and avoid processed carbs/sugar/snacks. Yes, I do eat cake and pastries from time to time. Ah, and I also still practice intermittent fasting.

I am happy with my weight (very stable these days), no more obsessive like I used to be. One day I will to write about how my weight obsession started (not of my own doing, rather imposed upon me) and how ridiculous it was.

Food is to be enjoyed, not just for survival, but you have to be wise in your choice of food, the frequency in which you indulge in certain foods and how much/often you eat.
