Tempted By A Crab Roll

Well, it was an allowable carb day, so tempted and succumbed I did! LOL!

Without further ado, this was my lunch at Kimberley err... the name is too long and escapes me. You know lah, the Penang kway chiap place.

Meat and organs.

My favorite - pig head.

Big intestine.

Pork belly.

The server knows that I love their chili dip and she served me two servings.

And then ....

The Nonya Crab Roll.

Oh! It was very crispy and the filling was utterly delicious, although I could not really detect the crab meat in there.

The dip was very nice - tart and slightly sweet. It's probably made using tamarind juice.

I was served a complimentary thin wedge of watermelon.

So that was my grand lunch. More protein than carbs.

After that I went to The Starling via the "secret garden" route where I was behind a group of office workers.

This is good exercise after a big meal.

It was nice seeing other people using this walkway.

Hmm... next time I am at the kway chiap place (on a carb day) I'll get the crab roll again hee..hee...

Ho chiak!

  5. I would need the kways to balance off the "saltishness" of the meats, hee hee.

  6. Lol....I noticed that your carb days numbering has stopped (at #17)! :D I guess it's better to stop counting since the carb days are now every 2-3 days intervals...haha. I too have to confess that I'm also having more bread and coffee days...though not as frequent as your carb days. I guess when we've been deprived of something we love for so long and once we start, it opens the floodgates and it's difficult to stop (that's what I experience)...wuahahahaha!

    1. I decided not to bother numbering them because every time before I post, I have to refer back to the previous post to get the next number. I can't help it, I love carbs too much muahaha!!!

  7. The crab meat most probably very less in the filling if the price isn't too expensive. I can assure that the watermelon wasn't sweet, judging from the pale red hue of it. >_<

    1. Crab is expensive, so there is very little in there. The price was RM14.00. The watermelon was not sweet as you said hah...hah...
