Cats Along The Way
On my walks along the shophouses in Damansara Utama, Damansara Kim and Damansara Jaya, I bump into the neighborhood cats.
Back in 2024 (to be exact, on 30-04-2024), I spotted this ginger cat in Damansara Utama.
I had never seen this kittie before.
It was very docile and did not attempt to run away when I approached it.
Its left eye appeared to be infected.
It even did a belly roll for me.
Then it stuck out its pink tongue. I was so tempted to take it to the vet.
But I had to walk away. And as you can imagine, my heart broke. Haiz ...... Then I never saw this kittie again. I suspect it may have been an abandoned pet. Poor thing.
This one was at Damansara Kim or Damansara Jaya.
This kittie was at Damansara Kim.
This is my favorite Damansara Jaya fatty bom bom.
This one looks like my Girl.
This is Ah Boy from the nursing home. I guess I'll never see him again.
And this bushy tailed one was at Damansara Kim. Cats will always steal my heart. Haiz!
Good morning! A new day has arrived and unfold, hope that we go through the day with ease, joy and positivity. Gambateh! I was awaken by the birds chirping in my neighbourhood which is why I love mornings when the birdies wake up and sing for us. I had a deep quality sleep with dreams (I can only rmb the content of only 2 dreams). I am opposite to others, when I have dreams meant that I have good sleep. One of the dreams I dreamt that I was riding a rollercoaster in an amusement park and I forgot to buckle up my safety belt and I was frightened. Interpretation? I guess the dream is telling me life is like a rollercoaster with its ups and downs, enjoy the ride! As for safety belt which I forgot to buckle, trying to hint to me to play safe and be careful of my personal belongings or to do with road safety? Nonetheless, will pen it down in my dream journal entry if I can rmb or if I have the time.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I rarely remember my dreams these days. Is it a sign of getting old? But there are the rare occasion where I can recall what I dreamt. Your dream about the rollercoaster and your interpretation is interesting. Our dreams I believe is an expression of our subconscious, so it has a meaning although some dreams are a manifestation of what happened in our waking hours.
DeleteOk. Will BRB afterwards! See you. Btw, weekends are here! Yay! Focus on the now and live your life day by day, then week by week, mth by mth and lastly follow by year. Trust me, time will pass very soon.
ReplyDeleteSuch wise words and wisdom! Have a great weekend!
DeleteFrom what I know, the few cats in my neighborhood are (1) ah black (ε°ι» in Chinese) near our neighborhood nursing home/old folks' home. Its fur is not totally very dark black and has patches of white too. It is a quite a fatty BOM BOM kittie and very chatty like your fur kids with its meows. Clearly it is well fed. (2) Cat no. two near SS supermarket and the clinic with dominant colour of ginger brown with patches of b&w. It is nameless but very demure which will respond to your meow. (3) Snow white, named by me hee hee, near the shop Mr Fix, with clear white fur with a grey black tail. Another fatty BOM BOM. (4) Cat no. 4 near the hair salon with wooden benches and chairs for it to jump up and down and have a nap..this one has big round innocent eyes and living peacefully with the pigeons. Obviously a young cat judging from its eyes. (5) Cat no. 5 an old and elderly cat well fed by the shops such as barber shop π and apparel shop owners. Last but not least (6) cat no. 6 near the ATM machines. This one seems to have a harder life, it looks skinny and its fur is messy.
ReplyDeleteWow! You are so observant and can describe your neighborhood cats with such detail. Some strays are lucky to be able to find food and shelter and even better some are adopted by cat loving people. I have also seen those which are not so fortunate, that get chased away and have it tough getting by.
DeleteThough I love cats but I know getting a pet is a huge responsibility and I am afraid of the bonding that when they not around anymore, I will miss them and my heart will be broken plus I don't think I know how to "train" them so well like you, so I just do my part by feeding the stray cats in my neighbourhood (but hor, the stray cats are mostly blessed with many people feeding them that they are so spoilt lol, there was a time I bought cat food and fed this stray cat, it ate a bit and did not want to eat anymore, not sure if it was because the food did not suit the cat or it had already eaten). And I ever donated to the Cat Welfare Society in Singapore.
DeleteI understand what you mean about the responsibility and bonding. The cat that ate only a little bit was probably not that hungry because it might have just eaten another meal. I noticed that cats will eat just enough and then walk away unlike us humans, we tend to eat more (if there is still food on the plate) even though we are full.
DeleteI really tabik all those πΊπ rescuers who really go rescue or like someone likes to say cat nap street cats to find them forever furever loving homes.
ReplyDeleteYes, me too! I am glad that there are such people who do great service rescuing cats (and dogs too). I used to follow a YouTube channel called Kitten Lady where this lady and her husband go around rescuing cats and kittens.
DeleteI also feel for the stray cats each time I bump into one, especially one that doesn't look well. Difficult to walk away but just don't have the resources to save all. T_T
ReplyDeleteYa, me too, I wish that I could provide a home for all of them.
