A Stinky Day

How many of you attempted to register for the AstraZenica  2.0 opt-in? I was one of the (frustrated) hopefuls and wasted almost an hour clicking and clicking and not getting. Grrrr!!!

That really stank up my day. Never mind. I shall let it go and not be so angry. No point getting all worked up.

Yup, I was trying to register for my vaccination in the midst of making some stinky stuff.

At first I thought that the opt-in would open for the young people those below 60 years old after 26-05-2021. So I planned on making a fresh batch of kimchi on 26-05-2021 since it was a public holiday. I had already purchased my ingredients on Sunday.

Mana tau the registration opened on 26-05-2021, so I kelam kabut a bit lah. But I did manage to sit in front of my computer to try my luck at 12:00 pm. Sharp.

But the cilaka system was not even ready 20 minutes later. So I waited and waited and finally filled up my details but kept getting stuck when choosing the vaccination center. Click, click, click, nothing happened. Next thing I know, registration closed.

So I went downstairs (fuming) and continued with my kimchi making.

Packed the fruits of my labor into two glass containers.

Into the fridge they went. But that was not all.

There was another container.

Which I left to ferment overnight.

I sampled some fresh kimchi. Nyum!

These two were from the previous batch, very ripe and very stinky.

They went into the making of this big pot of kimchi jigae. Good stuff I tell you. Some of you commented that I am so hardworking to cook and eat at home. This is how I do it. One big pot eaten over several days. Simple simple. Hah!

Talking about stinky, what is Girl doing?

She is stalking Belle Belle while Belle Belle is doing her business.

Why would anyone want to stake out outside the toilet is beyond me.

Gotcha!

Belle Belle was nice about it.

My two kiddos never fail to amuse me.

  1. Khairy just made an announcement about the vaccine. You can check it out! My missus said her kim chi is running out, will have to make some more..but Sarawak full lockdown starting tomorrow till the 11th. Good, hopefully that will prevent any Gawai Dayak clusters.

    1. Haiz..no more opt in and they better buck up and speed up the vaccinations. Today 8K+ cases! Pengsan! I am starting to wish for a full lockdown because that might be the only way to break the chain of infections.

  4. Our government is begging us to register and we are begging them to vaccinate us. I registered long ago and don't understand why still have to join the mad rush to register again for something else.

  5. i m not in a rush to opt-in AZ...after all it will now be included back into the 'national vaccination' as part of the choices. I'm glad of this latest decision to allow us to choose which vaccine to take in the coming future.

    1. Everyone was rushing because the national vaccination is taking too long and now cases shot up above 8K. Very scary. I am more scared now compared to during MCO 1.0!

  6. Your post title is very appropriate...your stinky day refers to you making stinky kimchi (to me-lah), your failure at registering for AZ and the very stinky business that Belle did...lol! :D Is the two toilets for your girls placed side by side? That could explain why Girl is loitering outside...she was just being nice to give Belle all the privacy she needs while waiting for her turn to use the toilet! ;) Yup, my family (and extended families) also tried to register for the opt-in when it was opened up...some were successful, some weren't as lucky.

    1. LOL! Girl was just being naughty and she did not need to use the toilet. Yes, the two toilets are placed side by side. In the beginning, Belle used both hah..hah... But now she knows to use only hers. Haiz...really don't know when our turn for the vaccination will come. I feel it is taking too long and the situation is getting worse by the day.

  7. As for me, I can only envy the 4 states which are eligible to apply, though Ipoh is under EMCO, the vaccination process is so so slow here... I dont mind AZ, any vaccine will do for now... The waiting games continues on...

  8. Love your kimchi. Hopefully the full lockdown starting 1 June will bring the cases down. Some people who didn't get the terima kasih screen are surprised to get the confirmation on their app today. Did you check your app? Maybe you are like them. Didn't manage to complete the registration but got the confirmation.

  9. Hehehehe, Girl is so cute to give Belle Belle a surprise when Belle Belle appears out of the toilet. It is like you go toilet and your partner shouts surprise! When you appear out of the toilet. Lolx!

  10. Your kimchee looks delicious. I am inspired to try & make some.

No worries govt getting more jabs soon.
I am pro vaccine & pro science. I don't plan to take an experimental shot for a virus with a 99% survival rate.

    Keep calm & stay strong.
