Last Weekend Makan Makan

Weekend means must think of what food to eat. There is no joy like having food delivered or served to you. Betul tak

Last Friday I ordered food again.

One for lunch and one for dinner.

The delivery fee was RM9.99 instead of the previous charge of RM20.00.

The egg yolk in the Japanese Curry Chicken Don punctured. But that's OK. The taste of this curry don was very good.

The Yaki-Buta Don was not as spectacular. Flavors were mild though the meat was tender.

On Saturday I went to Rice & Pot Empire for revenge eating of my favorite tomato oink oink bone soup with prawn and chive dumplings. And the deep fried oink oink patty.

So so good! Nyum!!!

That evening, I kwai kwai go and eat healthy food with my partner.

We went to La Jucieria Superfoods@1 Utama.

They are located inside Jaya Grocer. We were early so as not to be disappointed like last week. At 5:30pm I already hassle my partner to faiti! faiti!

I show you the add-ons first.

Teriyaki Chicken.

Fried Lemongrass Chicken. Both are chicken thighs.

The Teriyaki Chicken went to my partner with his Quinoa Fried Rice. I did the ordering for him or else he will keep eating the same old Kale & Chicken Salad.

I had the Keto Bowl with the fried chicken.

It was a good dinner.

On Saturday after lunch, I made a shortcut from Starling basement to go to Avocadian to buy some avocados. I spotted this matured couple.

They were holding hands. So sweet. It always warms my heart to see old couples like this. So, you all got hold hands or not, ah? Me and my partner we used to but after a few years, ah, I tell you...haiz...wahahahaha!!

  1. Yes, I also admire old couples holding hands without feeling any self consciousness! Once awhile I like to go for healthy meals too, not many in Ipoh though, the ones I know is Mama Kim, that I like and Tummy Bowl which I have yet to try. :)

    1. For food delivery, it is excusable lah. During transportation, things can get rough. Like what happened to my cookies. LOL!

That's why so sweet can hold hands mah. Many cases like this. Old already, go outside, find a spare n happy happy go Pak for holding hands when existing old lady n old man doesn't want to go out Jalan Jalan. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  4. Wah, I wanna copycat your food again. I still haven't gotten to ordering from Don by tsf yet. Maybe wait till they expand to provide pickup services. Now I wanna try the pot and rice empire. See when I can go there again. Now stay home again. For la juiceira there is a branch in taman Desa. Maybe I can dine in there one day. Ok, 3 food Eateries added to my bucket list now. Thanks for sharing and enticing me with the food photos. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

  5. the old couple is so sweet...for such case i believe it is the man's initiative to hold hand coz if the woman to do so, the man would usually 'keep his hand away' out of ego. And i noticed he is a gentlemen too by carrying the shopping bag and backpack. Ah...i so jealous! The egg pecah?!!! no fun lio coz i like to poke on egg yolk!

  7. What's the "rice" in your Keto Bowl? It doesn't look like cauliflower to me.

  8. Just to let you know I've had my first taste of Don by TSF yesterday. Let me eat a few more variations first before I write my post...hee..hee. I'm always wary of Japanese curry. I wonder if I'd like this one since you find it very good. I was attracted to the yaki-buta don too because of the tempura vegetables but now that you mention it's not spectacular...hmmmm. P/S: To get eggs (more so if they're onsen eggs) punctured via delivery is understandable, maybe not so forgiving lah if they were served at a restaurant where one can enjoy poking the yolk and seeing it oozing out. ^_~

Sometimes you're so funny, my dear. You started by saying "I kwai kwai go eat healthy food with my partner"...and then "let me show you the adds-on first"...lol!

Yes, seeing old couples holding hands is so sweet...but that's a dying trend in today's world, I think! ;D How sure are you that they weren't holding hands for safety and to lend support to the other (since old people tend to lose their balance)...wakakakaka!

    1. Ah! You have tried Don by TSF. I found the yaki-buta taste too mild for me, maybe it is ok for you. I have not tried that many of their variations either as I tend to stick to the ones I like.

hee..hee.. we had to have add ons or else there is no protein in the meal.

Oh, hah..hah... you could be right about lending support so maybe it is a little bit of both!
