Last Sunday I did not go grocery shopping because 1 Utama mall was closed due to the discovery of four Covid-19 cases at its premises. It is very scary that the number of Covid-19 cases have escalated in recent times.
We must all take precaution and not let our guard down. Let's hope that with our collective effort we can once again bring the infection rates down and flatten the curve.
My partner and I did our grocery shopping on Saturday (when we got the news) evening at Jaya Grocer, The Starling. Luckily the supermarket was not crowded and we could shop comfortably.
I try not to go out unnecessarily so I bring food from home. I am also keeping my meals simple. I just need to cook rice, one major protein and as for vegetables, I rely on kimchi that I made earlier.
So this is my Sunday rice bowl, made using whatever that is leftover after I make my meal prep.
That looks good to me, a bit of everything in my bowl.
For my weekday dinners, something simple would be a salad or even a soup like this one I made last week.
But even simpler is overnight oats. Now who says you can't eat oats for lunch or dinner, eh? My makan, my sukak heh..heh... I happen to love overnight oats and that's what I eat for lunch or sometimes, dinner. I top them with granola and roasted almonds. Very filling and wholesome.
