It's the CMCO Again. So Sien.

Just when I thought that I might be able to go to the movies some time soon, the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is upon us folks in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (and you guys in Sabah).

Someone sent me this photo of the queue outside Jaya Grocer, The Starling just before the CMCO.

Oh no. I am not going to go through that madness again. But as of the yesterday and today, it is quite calm and there is less traffic at the mall and the area outside.

I am not that affected by the CMCO since I live near my place of work and need not cross districts. So life goes on as normal for me. What about you?

Well, a day before the CMCO, I nipped over to Annie 1 for a spot of curry laksa heh..heh... Who knows when I can dine out again? (well, thankfully dine-in is allowed during the CMCO subject to maximum of two diners per table and adherence to SOP).

That was so good!

With a glass of iced Ipoh white coffee. Nyum!

Today, I did it again.

Wanton mee this time. Tomorrow, I work from home.

This kitty cat still comes over to my house. She made itself comfortable on my shoe rack.

I have yet to take her to the vet because it is quite hard to get her into the pet carrier. I tried to carry her but she struggled, so I had to let go. But I am still trying.

Meanwhile, my Ah Girl stays clear of this kitty cat. She avoids her like the plague.

Ah Girl always hangs out at my neighbor's house. I wondered why until I came across this news article in The Star.

hah..hah...

Apparently in Germany, you can get an injunction against your neighbor for enticing your cat. Haiz....got such things...

This CMCO is supposed to run from 14-10-2020 to 27-10-2020 but we all know that it may be extended. Whatever it is, try to stay indoors and when you go out please observe the SOP diligently. Go out only when it is absolutely necessary.

Stay safe everyone!

  3. OMG!!! Panic buying all over again? Sibu's yellow but still ok, things going on as normal but have to watch the numbers - if it increases, better stock up on food and everything as well.

  4. For the new cat, you can get her to get used to the cat carrier by putting food into the cat carrier and letting her eat inside with the door open. Once she is familiar with the carrier she may walk in and out of it herself.if she is not familiar with cat carriers and you close the door on her, she may thrash around a bit in it but since she is spayed she is familiar with being in a cat carrier. All the best!

    1. Ah! That's the method I employed and it seems to work. She is unaware of the "danger". LOL!

  6. Most or almost all the time during lunch you eat alone so you can dine out during cmco still. So nice to live close to your house. I can only dream or move nearer to my work place but the houses near my work place is out of my reach and I don't want to rent cos what to do with my current house? Pening. So cannot cross border so working from home but I have got employer letter ready in case really need to go office to work.

    1. It is good that you can work from home as it is ideal especially at a time like this. Moving house is very hassle, so just stay put.

Stay safe over there. Now you have more time for your girl and experiencing new cooking.

  9. this cmco seems quite lax already, considering we're technically allowed to travel all over kl and can dine out in groups of four. the highway traffic noise outside my apartment window is still also more or less the same, so it feels in some ways like nothing much has really changed. but ya, i guess the best we can hope for now is that by sometime next month, you can resume most of your usual pre-cmco activities with confidence ...

    1. You are right. It does not feel any different except that traffic is much better on the roads now that schools are closed.

  10. It's been a while since I've had Annie 1's delicious curry laksa. Perhaps when can rentas district again, I must make a point to have it. Luckily, I can still get my laksa fix from 2 places near me.

You seem to attract fat cats...haha (this one looks plump too). If Ah Girl stays clear of this girl, how are they going to be best of friends later? ;) Yeah, I recently found out (as in caught Cookie red-handed) that he has been going to my neighbour's house and eating Cowboy's dry food left by his owner. He doesn't want it when I give it in the house. Now I mimic that by leaving some dry food outside the house for him...and he gobbles that up...maybe it's tastier when it makes him feel like he's stealing someone's food! :P

    1. hah..hah... I wonder who had been feeding her before I met her. She is plump and is a voracious eater. Cookie is so funny! I guess other cat's food is the forbidden fruit and as you said, much tastier!

    1. Thanks, Libby! I don't even dare venture out the mall near my office. LOL! I also read about SIA flight to nowhere and cabins are turned into restaurants.

  12. Life is normal for me as I still need to go to office to work.
Hubby is working from home though, which is great for the time being as one of our cats is quite sick now.

  13. I received photos of people panic buying one day before the CMCO and this rrally made me scratched head as supermarkets and grocery stores still can open during CMCO.
Nothing much affect on me too as my working place is near my house and I have been doing my grocery once a week long long time ago. Maybe one thing that I need to change is, no more dine out during weekends, and replaced with food delivery/takeaway or more home cook food.
