It was back to work after the long Christmas weekend. Bah! How I wish I could take a few more days off. But hey, this weekend is another long weekend. Yay!
I had a meetup with an ex-classmate. We go way back, all the way back to standard 6. This is the ex-classmate who gave me his Bangla Chicken Curry recipe.
The weird thing is that we never spoke a word to each other when we were in school. Well, we sort of reunited with the rest of our school mates through our SRSS-1 (Class of 78) whatsapp group. See, it's never too late to say hello.
I have been to Wood & Steel before with my partner. I promised to return but somehow did not.
It was all quiet when I got there to meet my friend. It was still early and besides, I presume most people were away on holiday. Another ex-classmate couldn't make it, so it was just the two of us.
Babe in the house. How I wish I could be slim like her. |
This was what we had.
My very dramatic Club Sandwich came stabbed with a knife. This is just one half of the sandwich.
They ran out of fries (stock not yet arrived) so the sandwich was served with a salad which was fine by me. Less carb count hee..hee...
I love sandwiches, so I enjoyed this very much.
My friend had the wrap. I would have enjoyed this too. Maybe next time.
Thank you, Jalil for the nice treat. Next time, lunch is on me.
And to all my friends and readers, let me wish you
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017!
See you next year 😍
Nice catch up with your ex-classmate. It is kind of weird when you did not talk much with someone in school but ended up met some place and best buddies. Like me, never close with these 2 girlfriends of mine in school but we met in college and become best buddies. Although both now working in KL, we connect via whatapps group.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you!
I was very happy when I was added to the school wahtsapp group. I feel like a kid again :)
DeleteHappy New Year!
Happy New Year Phong Hong...
ReplyDeleteNice catching up with ex-classmate ya...
Yes, it was great. Happy New Year!
DeleteI went to the branch of this cafe near my home and didn't like the decor which looked run down. They have smokers sitting at the balcony which allowed the filthy smoke to flow inside. However their coffee was good.
ReplyDeleteI definitely will drop by this branch at Uptown as I believe it passed your fussy test. LOL
Nice to catch up with school mates as we age along our lives. How can you be 50 next year when you were from Class of 78? Where was the typo error? I think you were from Class of 88.
Happy New Year to you and your partner. Hope you will have a better, happier and healthier year ahead. May God Bless You to Send Some Cookies to me.
I laughed at your comments in my blog. I slapped myself hard and cried that you won't be sending me the cookies!!! Hu Hu Hu!!!
DeleteCorrect lah, 1978. I cannot send you cookies or else I will be blamed if you break your resolution. hahhahha!!

I love sandwiches too...but I usually won't order it when eating out coz I feel it's something I can make at home easily...must make them work for the money...muahahahaha! ;D Happy New Year....and enjoy the long weekend ahead :)
ReplyDeleteTrue, true. But there's nothing like having someone do it and serve it to you hah..hah...
