A Coffee And Two Cakes

Who was so naughty at the weekend?

I had to work last Saturday and with that I deserve a (self-sponsored) treat. Right or not?

After I was done with what I had to do, I headed to Yin's Sourdough Bakery & Cafe.

A well deserved ice Cappuccino to perk me up. It was actually served after they served the cakes. Sometimes it takes a bit of time before the coffee comes to the table but it was worth the wait.

Walnut Carrot Cake.

Pistachio Raspberry.

The two slices of cake, to be honest, were underwhelming. I should have chosen chocolate instead.

At The Starling, the food fair was in full swing.

I headed upstairs first for the warehouse sale.

I have no children and I have no business looking at toys. But I was curious. Many years ago when I was working for one of the Big Six (they are now the Big Four, how they have shrunk LOL!) I went to the Mattel factory for a meeting.

The new kwai loh director (a Scottish gentleman who had worked a few years in Hong Kong) spoke to me (and my manager) in Cantonese and I didn't understand a word. Oh dear. He wanted to impress us I guess. And yes, I was impressed.

Look at that. The crowd. So I didn't go in.

So I went downstairs to the food fair. Knead by CW. "Our Muffins Have (Fillings) Feelings". Clever play on words.

Yes, I was tempted. I haven't eaten a muffin in God knows how long.

This one almost broke me. Doublelayer Cheesecake. I love cheesecake!

But no, I walked away.

The Bread Bar. You all know I love bread.

Victoria Station is a regular at these fairs.

This one also tempted me.

Little Bliss. They sell ginger teas.

I could smell the aroma of the ginger.

I love ginger and sometimes I put it in soup.

I passed by Knead again LOL! Look, smell, don't touch.

Le Petit Paris. Ah! Croissants and buns.

Well, I already had two slices of cake, I should not be having anymore treats. So off to the movies I went.

I am boring too.
