During the long weekend, as usual, instead of taking it easy and chilling out, I gardened, I housekeeped (is there such a word?) and I cooked (three dishes).
I always try to overachieve when I have free time. I never learn.
Well, one of the things I cooked is my favorite minced beef which I baked with cheese topping (as you have already seen before).
On my regular walks at The Starling, I spotted this space (previously occupied by a furniture store).
Oh! A new Korean restaurant is coming. Gu On. Reading the caption, I was like, yes, September, just nice for my birthday!
Hi dear friend, housekeeping is work! We are just not paid to do the work (unless someone else hires us to do it for them). I prefer to grate cheese myself, because the store bought ones taste kind of waxy, and you are never sure when it was grated. So I totally understand what you are saying.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote, and your photos of these dishes are wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing.
Good morning PH I am now going to my neighbourhood aircon library with window view to meditate, will come back to comment later. BRB.
ReplyDeleteI was enjoying the silence when I meditated just now. Silence can be awkward at times but if you know how to appreciate it, it can be very enjoyable and comfortable. You are like me, PH, every end of the day, I will plan my food and beverage intake for the next day and then look forward to it, just like what you wrote in your blog post title, a restaurant to "look forward to", haha great minds think alike.
ReplyDeleteThere is Japanese food in my neighborhood food centre but there is no Korean food stall, if someone opens one, I am sure business will be very good. Looking forward to your review of Gu On for your birthday. September is coming to an end very soon.
ReplyDeleteThink it in another way. Gardening, cooking, etc these are your hobbies and things you enjoy doing, so you are not trying to "achieve" doing all these, you are "enjoying" yourself.
