So last Friday I decided to pop by for an early dinner.
This is one of those restaurants that is best visited at odd hours so that you don't have to compete with the crowd for a table.
This is something new on the menu, Percik Grilled Chicken, described a "Boneless charcoal grilled chicken maryland in percik sauce, urab tempeh – eggplant, cauliflower, tomato, quinoa, corn & ulam".
The percik sauce was a respectable interpretation of the Kelantan or Terengganu version. This would be very nice eaten with rice.
As for the urab (salad) I liked it, slightly sweet and savory with hints of coconut and peanuts.
I was a young teen then and those books were circulating at school LOL! I read one and could not understand what the hype was about.
This is where I did some serious browsing although I hoped that I would not find something that I could not resist.
I have this book, Revenge by Tom Bower, and it makes for interesting reading. At RM28.00, very worth it.
Besides books, there are also toys galore to keep the kids happy. So that was my visit to the bookfair and I left empty handed.
Hello dear friend, love the quotation! Book fairs are great, and I love the colours and displays in your photos! Your food looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteThe book "Revenge" by Tom Bower would be a book I would enjoy reading, because I only read non-fiction. Not only that, I am interested in the royals and what happens.
Be careful about the keto diet! On YouTube there are videos done by heart surgeons that strongly recommend against it. It is good to watch our carbs, but to eliminate them entirely can be dangerous.
I love the cat sign as well as the toys for the children!
I am not sure if you like Brainteasers...I do, but not the ones that give you a headache, just the ones that make you think. LOL! There is one called Rush Hour, it has cars on a grid, and there are cards in the kit. You have to place the cars and trucks like they are on any card, then you have to try and get yourself out of a traffic jam. I find it fun.
